Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced plans to hold a summit of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan this year. He said this following the results of trilateral talks with colleagues from these two republics.
“We will continue energetic work on preparing further meetings, including plans to hold another summit of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia this year,” Lavrov told reporters.
Moscow also proposes to organize a tripartite dialogue through parliaments. And also, as the minister noted, an agreement was reached to try to resume the dialogue between civil society and hzikhidtidekrt political experts.
“The closest result at this stage is the achievement of an agreement in a tripartite working group headed by three deputy prime ministers who are engaged in agreeing on specific issues of unblocking transport communications in the region,” the Russian minister stressed.
