The Irkutsk region is approaching the absolute record for disrupted large-scale construction and repairs at space speed. Priority – at the facilities being built on behalf of the President.
The long-awaited Suvorov School, the construction of which was supported by the president in 2020, became another victim of Governor Kobzev’s natural nearness and boundless greed.
The first act of the story about thwarted construction and shameless lies from Kobzev Babr told earlier: Suvorov Military School: a cynical lie or the governor’s natural narrow-mindedness?
Accurately the next day after the publication, the governor’s supporters stirred amorphously within the walls of the gray house, in another futile attempt to cover up his verbal flow torn from reality.
But just as a spider sinks into its own sticky web, Governor Kobzev and his team are increasingly entangled in their own corruption schemes and false empty promises. And they don’t even frown, giving out another stream that contradicts the previous one.
So, last week, when a number of media outlets published information about the actually thwarted construction of the Suvorov Military School and the governor’s groundless promises to recruit students for the coming academic year, all of a sudden a whole commission appeared in the region, on whose shoulders a high mission was entrusted to monitor the construction.
But watch your hands, carefully and dispassionately.
The Krasnoyarsk company is the contractor carrying out the construction of the Suvorov Military School SibirPromGroup (formerly Military Construction Company) (OGRN 1202400009460). In the Irkutsk region, the company operates at six sites, including the ill-fated Suvorov Military School and Primary School No. 75 on Akademicheskaya.
Or is it more appropriate to say “worked”?
Because during the year the company is actually at the stage of bankruptcy. There have already been two court hearings, in which more than five million rubles of a penalty was collected from the contractor for the already disrupted construction of facilities in the city of Tulun. The same flooded city, which governor Kobzev was sent to restore.

The fate of the Suvorov School remains uncertain, and the future of education (the same mentioned school) in the Irkutsk region with such builders is a big question. But one thing is clear – corruption schemes and inaction of the authorities cannot remain hidden any longer.
