Alexander Koval
The Khmelnytsky City District Court of the Khmelnytsky Region granted the petition of law enforcement officers to extend until February 17, 2023, the period of uncontested detention of 37-year-old native of the village of Ruda, Kamenetz-Podolsky District, Oleksandr Koval, who is known in certain circles in the status of a tramp nicknamed “Crutch”. The corresponding decision was made on January 19 by the servant of Themis Svetlana Burka, writes Detective-Info.
It follows from its text that Koval, who had previously been repeatedly convicted, was once again detained by law enforcement officers and thrown into jail last summer. By that time, the authority was accused of committing a number of thefts (parts 2, 3 of article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and stealing a car with the use of violence (part 2 of article 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), but in January of this year, Alexander Viktorovich was made additional claims in the distribution of criminal influence (part 1 of article 255-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigators, during his stay in a pre-trial detention center in the case of severe beating (part 1 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) of an opponent during a clash at the Playboy bar in the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky in the autumn of 2016, Kostyl allegedly gained significant authority among the convicts.
Like, as a result of this, in 2021, with the assistance of Alexander Bilyk, nicknamed “Crossroads” and Andrey Kovalsky (“Seaman”), who are considered the so-called “watchers” of the Dunaevets and Derazhnyansky districts of Khmelnytsky region, respectively, as well as a number of other worthies, Koval received the status of a “tramp” “.

Oleksandr Bilyk (Crossroads) and Andrey Kovalsky (Seaman)
In the interpretation of law enforcement officers, the further criminal influence of “Kostyl” consisted in the participation of the latter in the so-called “shooters” (where the issues of knocking out / repayment of debts were resolved), as well as in attempts to “knock out” local drug dealers while receiving funds from them for replenishment ” common fund.
Oleksandr Koval, nicknamed “Crutch”, was suspected
On January 13, 2023, the authority, which at the stage of the investigation rejected all claims against it, was informed about the completion of the pre-trial investigation and the opening of the proceedings in accordance with Article 290 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. After familiarizing Koval’s side with them, the indictment in his story should be sent to court.
