Japan bans export of vaccines and medical equipment to Russia
The country has expanded its sanctions against Russia, which are intended to help, on behalf of Japan, “international efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine.” Japan will also freeze the assets of 22 Russian citizens and 3 organizations.
Since February 3, the export to Russia of vaccines, medical devices, robots, radioactive materials, explosives, drilling rigs, power generators, equipment for nuclear facilities, as well as dual-use goods that can be used to produce weapons has been banned.
Under Japanese sanctions now KamAZ, Irkut, the Moscow machine-building plant Avangard, as well as, for example, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and philosopher Alexander Dugin.
