It became known in which regions of Ukraine there are more prosecutors with the status of persons with disabilities

In the Khmelnytsky region, 61 prosecutors or 29.8% of the total have this status.

The Office of the Prosecutor General continues an internal investigation into possible abuses by prosecutors in obtaining groups disability.

This is stated in message press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The audit includes all regions, special prosecutor’s offices and the central office. Both issues related to prosecutors acquiring the status of a person with a disability and receiving pension payments by court decision are examined.

Also, based on these facts, criminal proceedings are being investigated under Part 4 of Art. 27 hours 2 tbsp. 358, part 4 art. 358, part 3 art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation under the procedural guidance of the General Inspectorate of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to preliminary data from the official investigation, a high percentage of prosecutors with the status of persons with disabilities was identified in two regions: Cherkasy and Khmelnitsky.

According to the information processed so far, in the Cherkasy region 60 prosecutors of the prosecutor’s office have the status of persons with disabilities. This represents 27.4% of the total number of prosecutors working there. 59 of them received it before the full-scale invasion.

In the Khmelnytsky region, 61 prosecutors or 29.8% of the total have this status. 50 received disability groups for a full-scale invasion.

In other prosecutor’s offices and in the Office of the Prosecutor General, this figure does not exceed 10%. In particular, in 18 prosecutor’s offices the share of prosecutors with disabilities is less than 5% of the total number, in another 11 prosecutor’s offices it is from 5 to 10%.

In the Office of the Prosecutor General, 22 prosecutors have the status of persons with disabilities. This is 2.5% of the total number of prosecutors working in the central apparatus.

Each of these facts will be thoroughly checked and assessed both as part of an official investigation and as part of criminal proceedings.
