The court began considering the merits of the criminal case against Natalia Drozhzhina, Mikhail Tsivin and Dmitry Bubliy about the theft of property from the family of actor Alexei Batalov.

So, it became known that during the meeting the court refused to satisfy the petitions of the defense to transfer the criminal case to jurisdiction and return the criminal case to the prosecutor.

It is also indicated that Tsivin and Drozhzhina did not admit their guilt in committing a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud on an especially large scale, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, resulting in the deprivation of a citizen’s right to housing”).

Bubliy admitted his guilt under Article 202 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Abuse of authority by a private notary”), but did not admit his guilt under Part 5 of Article 22, Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Aiding in committing fraud by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, committed in a particularly large amount and entailed the deprivation of the right of a citizen to a dwelling).

The alleged scam with real estate and other property of the Batalov family became known in September 2020. Relatives of the late actor accused the actress Natalya Drozhzhina and her husband Mikhail Tsivin of cheating. The couple, according to the statements of the victims, carried out a series of operations, due to which the widow and daughter of Batalov lost their apartments and money.

Alexei Batalov is a Soviet theater and film actor. He gained wide popularity after the role of the locksmith Gosha in the film “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears”, which was released in 1979. For this role, Batalov was awarded the State Prize of the USSR. The actor died in 2017 and was buried at the Transfiguration Cemetery.
