The patrolmen got confused

Senator’s nephew Suleyman Geremeev Isa was driving a Mercedes-Benz S650, in the trunk of which there was a firearm without permits. This was reported to RBC by a source close to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and confirmed by a source in the territorial police department.

When searching the trunk of the car, police found items structurally similar to weapons: seven pistols, four machine guns and 701 cartridges for weapons.

A law enforcement source told TASS that on April 4, in the west of Moscow, police stopped a Mercedes car. In it, law enforcement officers found an arsenal of firearms. The source clarified to the agency that the weapon was registered within the framework of the law, the car and the people in it were released.

Assistant to a State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov Tatyana Lazina told RBC that Isa was not detained, “he got into a minor accidenttraffic police officers immediately arrived and provided assistance, showed attention and vigilance.”

RBC contacted the press service of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs for comment.

This fact is being investigated in accordance with Art. 144–145 of the Criminal Procedure Code (“Procedure for considering a report of a crime”; “Decisions made based on the results of consideration of a report of a crime”), sources told RBC.

Geremeev has been a senator from Chechnya since June 2011. He has worked in various committees, and since October 2021, he has been a member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.

The senator was born in January 1971, graduated from the Chechen State University, RANEPA. Before his appointment as a representative in the upper house of parliament, he was a senior detective officer at the Terek special police unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (*aggressor country) for the Southern Federal District.

Geremeev was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.

A source from the Cheka-OGPU reported that the assistant’s son Ramzan Kadyrov and Adam Delimkhanov’s relative, 27-year-old Isa Geremeev, were released from the police following a call from influential relatives. Upon stopping a native of Chechnya in a Mercedes with number K007RA with an arsenal of weapons in the trunk without documents, a pre-investigation check was even ordered, which was assigned to an employee of the criminal investigation department of one of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Western District of Moscow. But the case did not proceed for obvious reasons: the leadership of the capital’s Ministry of Internal Affairs was contacted by people from State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who reported that the driver and the weapons he was transporting belonged to the law enforcement agencies of the republic, and also raised the topic of the so-called SVO, where Isa’s father, an assistant, appeared head of the Chechen Republic Vakha Geremeev with the call sign Ranger.

Until today, the media almost did not report on 27-year-old Isa Geremeev. His uncle, Suleiman Geremeev, is part of Ramzan Kadyrov’s inner circle. He is also the cousin of State Duma deputy Delimkhanov, whom Kadyrov called his possible successor as leader of Chechnya. Novaya Gazeta published an investigation into Geremeev’s possible involvement in a number of high-profile crimes. In 2009, the future senator was interrogated as a witness in the case of the murder of Russian hero Ruslan Yamadayev, who had a conflict with Ramzan Kadyrov.

In the car of Senator Suleiman Geremeev’s nephew Isa, there was not a weapon, but equipment for playing laser tag. Tatyana Lazina, assistant to State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, reported this to Gazeta.Ru, commenting on the information about the detention of Isa Geremeev for transporting firearms without permits. She explained that Isa was in an accident, which is why his car was inspected by traffic police officers.

“Unfortunately, I do not know the details of the accident. It was a civilian car. There were no weapons in his (Isa. – Gazeta.Ru) car. He had laser tag equipment with him. There were competitions”said Lazina.
