Iran transfers military equipment to the Azerbaijani border due to the escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh

Iranian army equipment is being moved closer to the border with Azerbaijan amid rising tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The corresponding video is published by Telegram channels with reference to the Iranian media.

On the footage, you can see that military equipment – tanks and self-propelled artillery mounts – are transported by trucks.

Recall, on Wednesday, August 3, Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged accusations of escalation. Both sides reported the death of military personnel. The press service of the Armenian army stated that Azerbaijani units used attack drones, which resulted in a soldier being mortally wounded and 8 others wounded. The Azerbaijani military prosecutor’s office claims that as a result of the Armenian attack, an Azerbaijani serviceman died due to a bullet wound.

After that, a partial military mobilization was announced in Nagorno-Karabakh.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan stated that the Azerbaijani army carried out the “Retribution” operation. As a result, a number of dominant heights were taken under control, including Gyrkhgyz and Sarybaba.
