In St. Petersburg, a new financial scandal flares up in which the millionaire Sergei Pomelov and the company got stuck

On the initiative of the FSB, Sergei Pomelov was detained. Now, the former president of the Segezha Group and the CEO of the Rusbioalliance company have been charged in St. Petersburg.

The businessman is involved in a criminal case initiated against Anatoly Yerkulov, who withdrew about 2 billion rubles through RusBioAlliance, planned for the construction of the Alina Kabaeva Rhythmic Gymnastics Palace.

However, Pomelov warmed his hands not only in rhythmic gymnastics, but also in logging, where he has been a major player for a long time. Probably this was the reason for the interest on the part of the FSB.

Until 2020, Pomelov was a co-founder of Industry LLC. The main activity of the company was the felling of forest clearings and the construction of lay roads in Karelia. In the company, Pomelov still remains a shadow manager on a par with officially registered managers

In March 2021, the company unexpectedly changed its place of registration to the city of Vidnoye in the Moscow Region. Since that time, Industry has begun to file and successfully win in the Arbitration Court very controversial unfounded cases against its customers. In the contracts, a multiple of the increased cost for previously completed, certified and paid work appears. In some lawsuits, the amount of the contracts was doubled.

The machination is not very inventive, but it gives a reason to examine Pomelov’s inner circle more closely. If the security forces start cutting down this forest, the chips will fly far.
