In Chelyabinsk, a Ural citizen was arrested, who had kept a girl captive for 14 years; his mother was also charged with kidnapping

The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk sent 51-year-old Vladimir Cheskidov into custody, who had kept the girl in his private home since the fall of 2009. This was reported by the correspondent 74.ru from the meeting room.

Although several dozen came to court journalists, the meeting was closed as soon as possible. The investigator explained this by saying that “disclosure of information can harm the accused and the victim, humiliate their honor and dignity.”

According to investigators, Cheskidov met the victim at the bus station when she was 19 years old, offered to drink together and lured her to his home. He locked the girl in a separate room with bars, kept her bound and with her mouth sealed, and sexualized her regularly.

The 33-year-old victim fled from Cheskidov’s house in the village of Smolino near Chelyabinsk on July 30, when he was taken to a psychiatric hospital due to an exacerbation. After that, the bones and skull of another captive were found in the cellar of the house. According to investigators, the Ural man killed her in 2011.

As a result, Cheskidov was charged with kidnapping (point “c” of part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code), rape (point “b” of part 2 of article 131 of the Criminal Code) and murder (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code).

His 72-year-old mother Valentina lived in the house with the Urals and the captive. According to the neighbors, the elderly woman told them about the captive, but called her the bride of her son, who does not like to leave the house. The villagers themselves did not see the girl. The pensioner was also accused of kidnapping the girl. The Investigative Committee is going to send her to the pre-trial detention center as well. To court, as he writes 74.ruthe woman has not yet been brought.
