Igor Guzhva reported the details of the search to the editorial office of the newspaper VESTI and expressed his suspicions about the reasons.
Here is the text of Igor Guzhva’s message from his Facebook page:
Details of the seizure of the editorial office by SBU officers have become known. In short, we are again talking about the fabrication of a criminal case.
The goal is to block our work. In May they tried to do this with the help of tax authorities, but the matter is now close to collapse. It didn’t work out. In the summer they tried to intimidate us by hiring thugs who terrorized and destroyed our editorial office. They didn’t scare me. It didn’t work out.
Now the SBU has entered into the matter. Grounds: Article 110, part two (violation of territorial integrity).
The SBU saw this encroachment in several articles that were published in the Reporter magazine (two in April, one in July). We are talking about the articles “Makhnovist state”, “Slavic-proletarian republic” and “Junta! Betrayed! Down with!”.
Naturally, our authors did not allow any encroachments on the territorial integrity of Ukraine there. These were ordinary reports “along the other front line” – from Slavyansk, when Ponomarev and Strelkov-Girkin were in charge there, from the captured regional administrations. There, of course, there was direct speech from the separatists, just as it was (and is) in all Ukrainian media, which did, for example, interviews with Pushilin or the Abwehr or communicated with ordinary supporters of the DPR/LPR.
If you wish, you can include any newspaper, radio or TV channel under this article. Therefore, this is only an excuse to attack our holding specifically and block its activities, completely clear the information space before the elections from any media that is not afraid to express an independent point of view.
But, I will say right away, it will not be possible to silence us. No matter what, we will continue to create a newspaper, a website, a radio and a TV channel.
In his next message, Igor Guzhva claims that the reason was yesterday’s publication of an article entitled “The daughter of the head of the SBU lives in an apartment in Manhattan?”.
Since the site is not working, it provides a link to LJ NEWS, where the article is also posted.
Here is its text:
The daughter of the head of the SBU lives in an apartment in Manhattan?
The daughter of the head of the SBU, Valentin Nalyvaichenko, is listed as a tenant of an apartment in a prestigious area of New York. She studied and worked in America and Europe. True, her father assures that Olya is now in Ukraine.
The head of the SBU himself does not like questions about his personal life, and no one has seen his family in public. Judging by the resume that 25-year-old Olga posted on the Linkedin portal (an international social network for professional contacts), in 2010 she graduated from KIMO with honors. Olya completed her master’s degree at George Washington University in the American capital, then received her master’s degree at Stockholm University, Faculty of Law (Sweden).
For five years during her studies, the student completed an internship and worked part-time in law firms around the world. So, for example, she trained at the Fairfax Court (USA), the Stockholm Arbitration Court (Sweden), a law office in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), the UN Office in Vienna (Austria), as well as at law firms in Rome (Italy) and Paris (France).
The so-called New York Yellow Pages are publicly available on the Internet. In the directory you can find the residential address and telephone number of Olga Nalyvaichenko. The girl has an apartment in the most prestigious area of the city. The apartments are located in a building on Fifth Avenue. Nearby are Manhattan, Central Park and Madison Avenue. The cost of renting a one-bedroom apartment here starts at $4,200/month, and for three rooms you will have to pay $12,000/month.
It is noteworthy that Daria and Dana Nosenko are also listed at this address. This is exactly the last name of the co-founder of the company Smile Holding Ukraine LLC, in which, before his election to the Verkhovna Rada, Nalyvaichenko, according to his declaration, was listed as the head of a group of advisers.
Vesti turned to the chairman of the SBU to comment on this information. But Nalyvaichenko’s information about having an apartment abroad was denied. “Olga lives and works in Ukraine,” the politician’s press service told us. They also did not specify what position and what organization the girl is in – due to personal safety.
