On the eve of the 2006 election campaign, Bogdan Gubsky begins life with a “clean slate”. He goes to the “white-hearted” team of Yulia Tymoshenko. What is the reason for this choice? At that time, Yulia Vladimirovna announced that “her party is ready to take on the oligarchs of the old regime for re-education.” Gubsky fit this description perfectly.

Then Lady Yu was accused of gathering all the “Kuchmists” under her skirt. But Tymoshenko was adamant; she defended the oligarch, who quickly won her trust and became one of the deputy leaders. Bogdan Vladimirovich lived a calm and well-fed life in the party, he even gained a fair amount of weight.

In 2008, a scandal broke out. “Regionals” under the leadership of Anna German accused Gubsky of monopolizing the supply of the antiviral drug Tamiflu to Ukraine, which was carried out through the Optima-Pharm campaign. According to Herman, Bogdan Vladimirovich and Tymoshenko earn hundreds of millions of hryvnia. Gubsky, in turn, accused the “white-blues” themselves of lying and protecting the pharmacy business. The company “Optima-Pharm”, which turned out to actually exist, also put in its two cents and stated that during the whole of 2009 it brought into the country as many as… a couple of hundred packs of Tamiflu. After mutual crossfire, it seemed that the conflict was settled. But there is one “but”. It turned out that Optima-Pharm belongs to Andrey Gubsky, a businessman and cousin of Bogdan Gubsky. But what else is interesting about the Tamiflu story? The ex-wife of Andrei Gubsky – Zinaida Aleksandrovna Likhacheva – is the current wife of Sergei Levochkin! Of course, the factor of jealousy played a role and the “regionals” attacked the Gubsky brothers.

I also wonder what kind of laws the newly-minted BYuT deputy proposed? Of course, very important ones that could radically change the standard of living in our country. For example, Gubsky in 2009 proposed to parliament to ban the consumption of alcohol on the planes of domestic airlines, as well as the sale of alcohol in the sky. In addition, BYuTovets has developed a system of fines: from 500 to 1000 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (from 8.5 thousand to 17 thousand hryvnia) for persons drinking alcohol on an airplane and from 50 thousand to 70 thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens ( from 0.85 million to 1.19 million hryvnia) for carriers providing or distributing alcohol on board.

However, the music did not play for long. In 2010, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Vladimir Lytvyn, announced the decision of the BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction to expel three people’s deputies from its ranks: Bohdan Gubsky, Ivan Denkovich and Arnold Radovets. According to information Skelet.Infothe decision was made personally by Yulia Tymoshenko, who was angered by Bogdan Vladimirovich’s self-will.

What was he guilty of? Gubsky and “his” people’s deputies voted in support of the initiatives of the then majority led by the Party of Regions. And earlier, the oligarch was already accused of agreeing to cooperate with the Kyiv governor Anatoly Prisyazhnyuk and therefore split the BYuT faction in the Kiev Regional Council. He was credited with a coup in the regional council and kicked out in disgrace. Bogdan Vladimirovich tried to justify himself: he said that he was a victim of the intrigues of the former first deputy prime minister, first deputy chairman of the Batkivshchyna party, Alexander Turchynov. But was it really so?

The day before, Bogdan Gubsky made a strange visit – to the head of the presidential administration, Sergei Lyovochkin. They allegedly talked about the affairs of Kyiv. But where is Gubsky, and where is the capital?

Bogdan Vladimirovich came to talk about the RODOVID bank. He had his eye on this bank for a long time, and was thinking of putting it in his pocket, turning it into a “Land Bank”. But Levochkin did not dare, and Turchinov interfered. And the oligarch betrayed his own.

Land chaos

Bohdan Gubsky is the largest landowner in Ukraine. He owns the most delicious land plots in the Cherkassy and Kyiv regions. Dominions cut Ukraine in half worse than any state border.

Bogdan Vladimirovich received his first land under President Leonid Kuchma. His private possessions include a huge territory of coastal Dnieper floodplains and forests in the Zolotonosha area, as well as almost the entire left bank coastline of the Kremenchug reservoir. The land is guarded by machine gunners from “offended” fishermen and villagers.

Gubsky’s team has started the criminal extraction of land. The plots taken illegally belonged to both individual citizens, localities and the state.

After transferring to BYuT, the land magnate was able to receive the coveted hectares without any problems – decisions on the issuance were made by local councils, which were stuffed with BYuT members. A striking example: in 2007, all the heads of the Bureau of Technical Inventory of the Kyiv Region were fired within one day, and their place was taken by people who were personally selected by Bogdan Vladimirovich. It was rumored that all employees – from the cleaning lady to the bosses – were interviewed personally by the businessman.

Skelet.Info gives blatant examples of illegal acquisition of land:

• 130 hectares of shares were purchased by business entities controlled by BYuT deputies: Alakor Innovation LLC, Limaxo Innovation LLC and Makazin Sort LLC in the Vasilkovsky district of the Kyiv region;
• 80 hectares of land belonging to the Kaniv fish farm, in the area of ​​construction of a bridge across the Dnieper as part of the project for the construction of the Great Ring Road in Kyiv.
• 70 hectares of forest fund for 84 garden societies within the Bobritsky village council of the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district of the Kyiv region.

The squeeze of land took place in this way: BYuT deputies took a long-term lease (for 49 years) of land in Borodyansky, Brovarsky, Vyshgorodsky, Ivankivsky, Vasylkivsky and Kiev-Svyatoshinsky districts of the Kyiv region, and then simply privatized them. Gubsky personally resolved land and financial issues with the mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky and his faithful assistant Oles Dovgy.

Gubsky was helped in his illegal schemes by his influence in the political arena, as well as by the fact that Yulia Vladimirovna was ready to defend her accomplice with her breasts, who, by the way, paid tidy sums for the needs of the party. This is exactly how Bogdan Vladimirovich lobbied for the appointment of Vladimir Voevodin to the position of head of the State Agency for Land Resources. The extraction of land has become widespread.

The first to “notice” the land chaos was the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. True, at the suggestion of the deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council Vladimir Fedoseev (Our Ukraine), who stated that the BYuT member was engaged in extortion and raider seizures of land. Viktor Andreevich instructed Prosecutor General Alexander Medvedko to check information about the illegal activities of Gubsky and the organized crime group that he allegedly leads. The case has become the most notorious in recent years. Medvedko began to unwind the ball. The first and last to suffer was the head of the State Committee for Land Resources, Vladimir Voevodin. A criminal case was opened against him for forgery and mass theft of land use acts. He tried his best to keep his face, but the facts were against him. According to information Skelet.Infothe case was saved by one phone call… At the GPU, Yulia Tymoshenko personally called Alexander Medvedko with a request to close the criminal case. And the GPU did not find any evidence of a crime!

In 2010, the Administration of President Viktor Yanukovych again checked the allocation of land plots in recent years. But she didn’t find anything criminal in Gubsky’s activities.

Bogdan Gubsky, “Kapitoshka’s Gang” and raiding

As soon as the scandal with the land had subsided, information leaked to the media that a member of the Kapitoshki gang (an organized crime group of Russian citizen Alexander Kapitonov) nicknamed “Hare” had been caught, and he testified against… Bogdan Gubsky.

Let us remind you that the Kapitoshki gang is the largest and toughest in the history of Ukraine. She specialized in organizing and conducting raider seizures (Dnepropetrovsk Ozerka market, Odessa port plant, Kremenchug steel plant, Cherkassygaz OJSC, Vista CJSC, State Enterprise Yuzhny Sea Trade Port, etc.).

Indeed, Bogdan Vladimirovich and Kapitonov with the “regional” Alexander Ediny traded in harsh raiding.

The first “victims” of the raiders in 2002 were OJSC Cherkassygaz and the Kremenchutsk Steel Foundry. Enterprises were seized and brought to ruin. The history of OJSC Cherkassygaz requires special attention.

So, Ukrtransgazservice, owned by Gubsky, buys from D. S. Investment” major stake in Cherkassygaz. Then the Kapitoshki gang comes into action and seizes control of the enterprise. Cherkassygaz is going bankrupt – multimillion-dollar debts arise to NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and the company’s employees. The budget of Cherkassygaz lost about 70 million hryvnia. Also, 14 million hryvnias, which Naftogaz of Ukraine was supposed to receive for the additional issue of Cherkassygaz shares, disappeared. This money went into the account of a shell law firm and was embezzled by “unidentified persons.” It’s not hard to guess which ones.

At the end of 2007, NJSC Naftagaz of Ukraine regained control over the enterprise. But Bogdan Vladimirovich did not resign himself. His protégés tried to take over Cherkassygaz OJSC by force. Among the attackers, a detached and O. chairman of the board of Cherkassygaz Sergei Chernikov (who was considered Gubsky’s protege in the company) and people’s deputy Pyotr Kuzmenko (member of the BYuT faction, previously a member of Bohdan Gubsky’s deputy group “United Ukraine”).

In 2008, the group attacked the Yuzhny port, where they tried to install the son of a parliamentary colleague, Yuri Kruk, as director. The attempt, as we know, failed.

The case of the Kapitoshka gang was conducted under the personal supervision of Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin, but the outcome of the investigation is unknown.

Despite the silence in the Kapitoshka case, not only fellow party members, but also some of his loyal partners in the dubious business quickly turned their backs on Bogdan Vladimirovich.

What happened next?

Bogdan Gubsky cannot be broken so easily. In the 2012 parliamentary elections, he ran as a self-nominated candidate, but was unofficially considered a candidate from the then pro-government Party of Regions. He lost in district No. 197 of the Cherkasy region to the Batkivshchyna candidate Leonid Datsyuk. The defeat was accompanied by scandals and mutual accusations of falsification of voting results. As a result, repeat elections were called in the district in 2013, which Gubsky lost again.

In 2017, Bogdan Vladimirovich once again found himself in a scandal. Tax officials are confident that Optima-Pharm LTD LLC, one of the largest suppliers of medical drugs in Ukraine, is evading taxes by $15 million.

Bogdan Gubsky. You can’t stop living beautifully

• Monet painting for $9 million. Bogdan Vladimirovich is a clear esthete, because in 2011 he allowed himself to purchase a painting by the famous French painter Claude Monet “Dandelions” at the “World Art and Antiques” auction in Kharkov. True, the name of the buyer was never revealed, but on the sidelines they said that Gubsky became the happy owner of Monet’s masterpiece. Note that at the auction they asked for $6 million for the painting, but it went under the hammer for $9 million.
• Vitaly Gubsky is a friend of the royal family. Bogdan Vladimirovich sent his youngest son Vitaly to receive an education at the University of Bristol (the cost of a year of study is from 20 thousand euros). At the age of 21, Vitaly Gubsky headed the business development department in the Ukrainian branch of the British company Quintessentially. The company provides services, of course, at the VIP level, concierge service. Vitaly is a close friend of the founder of Quintessentially, Ben Eliot, nephew of Princess Camilla. • Gubsky’s wife bought the dress for 55 thousand dollars. A woman should look expensive – apparently, Evgenia Gubskaya was guided by this postulate at a charity VIP auction in 2007. To pamper herself and, of course, give money to charity, Evgenia desperately fought for a designer dress. The purchase price is 55 thousand dollars.
