Gref's bison run to the “pampas”

German Gref and his deputy Sergey Kuznetsov “merged” the Sberbank structure into the hands of people who were previously associated with dubious schemes.

Sber Deputy Chairman Stanislav Kuznetsov, who is responsible for coordinating the security unit of a financial institution, boasted in a recent interview with Izvestia about how the company copes with DDOS attacks and other fraudulent actions against bank employees and customers.

As the correspondent of The Moscow Post managed to find out, the interests of Sberbank and its clients are protected by structures associated with potential scammers from Loko-Bank, the head of VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov and the leader of the LSR construction group Andrey Molchanov. For details, see The Moscow Post.

Sold to Loko-Bank?

Back in 2018, Kuznetsov, of course, presented the company Bi.zone (legal entity – “Bizon”), which deals with the cybersecurity of the state bank, in an extremely attractive light. At that time, it was 100% owned by Sberbank, but subsequently it was actually transferred into the hands of three entrepreneurs – Alexander Bondarenko, Ilya Davydik and Alexander Obukhov. They own MR Capital Management Company, which manages Bizon Management Company, which owns Bizon.

In this trinity, Mr. Davydik is most interesting. This is the son of the owner of Loko-Bank, Vladimir Davydik. As we discussed in the Loko-Tron of Liquidity investigation, a bank can be emptied by its top managers in favor of the side projects of its leaders. Like, for example, the acquisition of the assets of the bankrupt developer Urban Group or FESCO shares. Which, by the way, according to Ziyavutdin Magomedov (one of the owners), who is in prison, were obtained as a result of a raider seizure.

They say that, allegedly back in 2017, the organization was suspected of losing money from its accounts with clients. They said that these were the consequences of the actions of the top management of the monetary organization.

At the same time, the bank began to actively advertise in the metro and shopping centers. Here is what the experts said about this: “Probably, the bank had serious problems with liquidity. And it was decided to “vacuum”. All the signs of this are present – a high rate and aggressive advertising. time, the bank recruits customers, paying a high percentage of old ones at the expense of new ones. In principle, this is an ordinary banking pyramid. When the money runs out, it collapses.

If you pay attention to the bank's financial indicators now, you get a distinct feeling that that assets are really systematically pumped out of there. At the same time, the Banki.ru website presents a picture only until February of this year. Got something to hide?

In third-party projects of the shareholders of Loko-Bank, not everything is going smoothly either. According to Daily Storm journalists, the DOMS management company, associated with Ilya Davydik (until 2018 was the founder), was, according to the residents of the Yasny residential complex, imposed on them. Allegedly, DOMS, through a figurehead, initiated a general meeting of the owners of the house and demanded that documents be signed in its interests when accepting and transferring apartments.

Interests were understood as “unacceptable tariffs and building management services”: for example, DOMS allegedly takes double payment for garbage collection, does not issue keys to mailboxes and counters. And this story is not unique – residents of other residential complexes from MR Group complained about the same thing.

By the way, Ilya Davydik and the son of MR Group co-owner Roman Timokhin, Vladimir Timokhin, have Hutton, a real estate company. It is easy to guess why DOMS enters MR Group facilities.

Shuvalov, Molchanov and fake security

Another ultimate beneficiary of “Bizon” – Alexander Bondarenko – comes from the structures of Igor Shuvalov's asset manager Sergei Kotlyarenko. The latter has repeatedly become the hero of our publications in connection with the scandalous stories around the companies he owns. Including the garbage operator Citymatic, which “privatized” dozens of Russian regions to serve itself, but performs its duties in such a way that residents almost howl with annoyance and ask where the money is going.

As for the activities of VEB, one can talk about its failed projects for a long time. There is a story about the construction of schools in the Novosibirsk region, where the alleged relative of Igor Shuvalov, Otto Sopronenko, in concession with VEB, was shamefully “thrown” from projects where these two could simply “launder” money.

The last ultimate beneficiary of “Bizon” is Alexander Obukhov, a native of the structures of the St. Petersburg developer LSR, which belongs to Andrei Molchanov. The structure of the latter has won a significant share of the market of the Northern capital and is considered close to the governor of the city, but recently its revenue has been steadily falling by billions. Are they withdrawing assets?

The head of MR Capital (which, in fact, manages Bizon), Sergey Revin, previously worked in the structures of the disgraced former co-owner of Rosgosstrakh, Sergey Khachaturov, who was sentenced to eight years in 2020 prisons for embezzlement, fraud and money laundering.

Thus, “Sberbank” can protect, in fact, the structure of potential scammers who simply have not yet been charged. Here is what Stanislav Kuznetsov, close associate of German Gref, “advertises”. Guided by the principle – if you want to be successful, think like a fraudster, or better – be one?

It doesn't turn out very well yet. All successes in the field of repelling cyberattacks are presented as something grandiose, but misses can be hard to hide. At least, according to the authors of the forklog website, the Anonymous group allegedly claimed in one of its social media accounts in May this year that it had gained access to the Sberbank database. There was no response from the bank.

According to 2015 data, hackers stole more than 2 billion rubles from Sberbank clients. Moreover, bank ATMs can, as it turned out, be opened with a regular key, which was done in 2021. This and a host of other incidents make one think about how fair Kuznetsov's boasts are. Could this just be an attempt to justify the multimillion-dollar spending on government contracts with the organization?

Gref and his loyal subjects

Mr. Kuznetsov himself is not a person with the most crystal-clear reputation. Firstly, he was among those persons whom former State Duma deputy Akhmed Bilalov accused of threatening and attempting to assassinate and raid. Other top managers of Sberbank, along with its head German Gref, fell on the same “board” with Kuznetsov. to give his ski resort in Sochi almost for next to nothing to the oligarch Mikhail Gutseriev. And after the refusal, events potentially related to this case began to occur: the crash of a helicopter with Bilalov, where he survived, poisoning of the latter with mercury, after which he recovered for a long time in the hospital.

Bilalov's property was eventually taken away by Sberbank and Gutseriev, and the former official himself became a defendant in a criminal case due to violations related to activities and “cases of unreasonable expenses for trips of the company's management to non-CIS countries using elements of luxury”, and moved abroad.

It is known that Kuznetsov previously worked in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he also personally oversaw the construction of the Olympic facilities in Sochi, which became, so to speak, the defendant in the story with Bilalov. Wasn’t Kuznetsov the one who filed a criminal case against the latter?

According to the authors of the Russkiy Kriminal website, Kuznetsov was allegedly one of the recipients of multimillion-dollar bribes from businessman Eduard Shifrin for lobbying his projects in Sberbank and issuing loans for them. The latter may be directly involved in the withdrawal of money on contracts with the Sberbank development structure Sberbank Capital. This was reported by “Version”. Surely Kuznetsov also got it?

At the same time, it was Kuznetsov who, in 2019, directly publicly accused the leadership of the Altai Republic of “mastering money” at the Manzherok resort (the investor is Sberbank) instead of developing tourism and disrupting the tourist season. Something suggests that the vice-president could be trying to shift the blame for the bank's mistakes (read – theft) onto the former head of the Republic, Alexander Berdnikov.

The same year, Berdnikov resigned. German Gref emerged victorious again.

Who goes where, and we are from Sberbank

In the end, we have the coordinator of the security block of Sberbank Kuznetsov, who may be related to raiding, assassination attempts, the withdrawal of money, his boss German Gref, who allows Kuznetsov to do all this, and the “merged” structure “Bizon” close to Loko-Bank, Igor Shuvalov and Andrey Molchanov, which ensures the safety of the largest state bank.

Looking at all this friendly company, we have concerns not only about the quality of data protection, but also the suspicion that for a reasonable price they can quite leak to the side through persons controlling the security system. The number of scammers has grown significantly since the beginning of the SVO, says Kuznetsov. We have a question: did you give birth to them?
