The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don began considering the criminal case of Ukrainian citizen Dmitry Golubev, accused of committing an act of international terrorism and planning two more. According to the FSB investigation, the defendant, opposing the Russian authorities and the special military operation they launched, blew up the building of the traffic police MREO in Melitopol and intended to carry out terrorist attacks on the road and near the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region. Dmitry Golubev acknowledged the factual circumstances of the case, but did not agree with their qualifications.

The Southern District Court has begun consideration of another case on an act of international terrorism. This is how investigators qualify explosions planned and carried out by citizens of Ukraine in the territories annexed to Russia after the start of a special military operation.

At the beginning of the hearing, the court established the identity of the defendant. Dmitry Golubev, a native of Zaporozhye, is 50 years old. He received 11 classes of education, did not do military service. Apparently, for some time the man lived in Russia, since in 1991, 2001, 2014 and 2016 he was convicted in Belgorod, Orel and Moscow for theft, extortion and fraud (Art. 158, Art. 163 and Art. 159 of the Criminal Code ). At the same time, Dmitry Golubev did not and does not have Russian citizenship.

Before his arrest, he lived in Zaporizhia, did not officially work. According to his own words, he was engaged in transportation. He is married and has a 12 year old son and a 7 year old daughter.

The judge asked whether the defendant would be able to take part in the process, taking into account his state of health. What exactly Dmitry Golubev was sick with was not discussed, however, it was noticeable that he hardly got up from the bench and was very lame. After assuring the defendant that he would be able to participate in the hearing, the prosecutor began to read out the indictment.

Dmitry Golubev is accused of undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities (Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), committing an act of international terrorism and preparing for two more such acts (Part 1 of Article 361; Part 3 of Article 30; Part 1 of Art. 361; part 1 article 30, part 1 article 361 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the investigation, the state prosecutor pointed out, in the period from late February to August 2022, Dmitry Golubev, who opposed the special military operation, was recruited by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and, under the guidance of an employee of the department, learned to handle explosives and make bombs.

After that, he was handed over the components of explosive devices, Dmitry Golubev transported them in his car to Melitopol and hid them in a hiding place, while remaining to live in the city. The curator told Dmitry Golubev that he needed to organize three explosions: on the road along which the employees of the military-civilian administration (MAC) of the Zaporozhye region and the Russian military accompanying them would travel, in the regional department No. areas.

Having received the task and instructions, Dmitry Golubev, according to the case, took the explosives from the cache and made three bombs.

On August 8, he arrived at the road along which the CAA officers were supposed to travel, and planted a radio-controlled explosive device on the fence near it. It was planned to put it into action on August 31. However, on August 11, the bomb was found during a survey of the area by FSB officers.

The day before, on the evening of August 10, Dmitry Golubev arrived at the traffic police building and placed an explosive device in a window opening near the main entrance, the timer of which was set at 21:45. The explosion damaged the facade and interior. Fortunately, there were no victims or injured.

The third device, intended for installation in the CAA building and located in a cache, was discovered by the FSB on August 12.

Dmitry Golubev stated that he recognizes the factual circumstances of the case that he is charged with, but does not agree with their qualification.

“I am a Ukrainian, I defended Ukraine, what crimes? I don’t see any international terrorism against Russia in this. I didn’t have such a (terrorist. – “b”) orientation, there was no goal for people to die, ”he said.

At the next meeting, it is planned to interrogate witnesses for the prosecution.

Note that this is the third criminal case on international terrorism, considered by the Southern District Military Court. Now it also continues the trials on the cases of intelligence sergeant of the armed forces of Ukraine Pavlo Zaporozhets and five former and current Ukrainian military men, who are charged with such crimes by the FSB. Prior to the beginning of the NWO, this article of the Criminal Code was practically not applied.
