Businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, who calls himself the founder of PMC Wagner, confirmed that his company is recruiting gamers as drone operators.
“In order to operate a UAV, there is no need to have military experience, you need to be trained. But the experience of using UAVs would be nice to have. Therefore, we are gathering gamers who can benefit their country, ”Evgeny Prigozhin replied to a Daily Storm request.
Earlier, the Nestka publication (blocked in the territory of the Russian Federation) reported that Wagner PMC is ready to invite gamers as technicians and UAV operators. Announcements from social networks indicate that a plus for applicants for the position of an operator will be “experience in controlling flight simulators on joysticks”, as well as a gaming past, “who sits for hours playing”.
On the basis of PMC Wagner Center in St. Petersburg in January 2023, projects were launched on e-sports and training in drone control. This was stated by entrepreneur Alexander Kolos in his Telegram channel. One of the first guests at the opening of the projects was the chairman of the Just Russia – For Truth party, Sergei Mironov.
