Source Increased taxes now threaten everyone who left Russia. How it theoretically works and what threatens for non-payment of tax – we will tell on the example of the real estate of stars who fled abroad after the start of the CBO. The Russian Ministry of Finance recently clarified that non-residents must pay 30% of all income from the sale or rental of their real estate in the Russian Federation. But only on condition that the period of ownership of this property did not exceed five years (for a single housing – three). Recall that according to the Tax Code, all citizens living in Russia for less than 183 days a year are considered non-residents. And many eminent fugitives have already lingered abroad.
The most unlucky singer Andrei Makarevich * and comedian Semyon Slepakov, who moved to Israel. They bought their mansions and apartments in Russia recently, so the tax rate will be higher.
Where is Andrei Makarevich's property located? Five years have not yet expired, the singer probably has other housing – which means that if the mansion is sold, he will have to pay an increased tax.
Pavlovo is a village with its own beaches and a lake, a temple, a shopping center, a fitness center and the famous gymnasium of the same name, one of the best schools in the country. The area of Andrey Makarevich's cottage is 474 squares, the plot is 20 acres. Such real estate can be rented out for about 600 thousand rubles a month, and sold for 150 million. In the first case, the owner will pay a monthly tax of 180 thousand, and in the second – 45 million one-time.
Where does Semyon Slepakov live in Moscow
In October 2021, Semyon Slepakov became the owner of an apartment with an area of 217 square meters in the luxurious Park Residence residential complex. The residential complex is located opposite the Muzeon art park and the monument to Peter I in one of the Golutvinsky lanes on the Crimean embankment. The house itself has an ultra-modern look and huge panoramic windows.
Recently, a free classifieds website has offered an urgent sale of an apartment in Park Residence. In terms of parameters (area, floor, layout), the lot completely coincides with the property of the showman. The issue price is 295 million rubles. If Slepakov is the owner of this apartment, then he will pay 88.5 million taxes to the treasury. If he decides to rent out real estate, then at prices in this area of about 850 thousand a month, he must deduct 255 thousand. br />Two months ago, secular columnist Bozena Rynska put up for sale a 98-square-meter apartment near the Patriarch's Ponds in Tryokhprudny lane for 60 million rubles. This is a tenement house built in 1913 by the architect Ernst-Richard Nirnsee. In modern Russia, this building was restored and turned into the prestigious residential complex “Volotsky Doma”.
The scandalous socialite was very lucky. She will not pay tax after the sale because she has owned the property since 2015.
Last year, Bozena Rynska sued for a 300-square-meter mansion in the village of Chigasovo on Rublyovka, which was previously owned by her husband Igor Malashenko. As a result, judging by Rosreestr, Bozena and her daughter got only two-tenths of the house – this asset will pull about 10 million rubles. If they sell their share, they will have to pay three million to the treasury.
Why Alla Pugacheva will not pay taxes
In the personal property of Alla Pugacheva, there was only one apartment left in her homeland. This is a penthouse bought in 2004 in the luxurious residential complex “Filippovsky” in the Old Arbat area. From the inside, the house is finished with Venetian plaster, marble and mosaic panels. In the basement there is a swimming pool, a sauna, exercise equipment, a solarium, a billiard room, a bar, a game room. All this splendor is guarded not by some kind of security, but by a whole “multi-level security system”.
The area of the Primadonna's penthouse is over 300 square meters, the price is approximately 350 million rubles. If the singer sells the property, she will not pay anything to the treasury. If he rents out, he will pay the standard 13%. Based on the fact that smaller apartments in this residential complex are rented for up to 850 thousand rubles, Pugacheva can even count on a million monthly income minus a tax of 130 thousand.
What is left of Maxim Galkin in Russia
In 2011, Maxim Galkin* completed the construction of the famous palace in the village of Gryazi near Moscow, where he later settled with Alla Pugacheva. The area of the grandiose building is about two thousand squares, the height is six floors. The facade is decorated with dragons and gargoyles. Inside are greenhouses, cigar and fireplace rooms, a library with oak shelving, wallpaper with fleur-de-lis, furniture with gilded legs, crystal chandeliers, canopied bedrooms, and an elevator. Galkin owns the entire architectural ensemble and the land under it.
There is information that after fleeing abroad, Maxim Galkin put the castle up for sale, hoping to get at least a billion rubles for it. If so, then he is not required to pay any taxes on the transaction. However, the Russian treasury will be lucky if the parodist rents out the estate. Probably, there will be those who wish even for a million rubles a day, from which Galkin will pay the standard 13%.
What threatens for non-payment of taxes
Escaped abroad citizens may try not to pay taxes, but it will backfire on them. For the second tax period, their property (if they do not have time to sell) will be banned from any actions with it. Penalties will run, tax authorities will impose a fine of up to 40% of the debt. If investigators suspect deliberate tax evasion, a criminal case may be initiated. As soon as the stars return to Russia, they will be billed in multiples. They can also face up to three years in prison.
