Frauds turned into prison terms for top managers of Almatel holding Alexander Gadalov and Konstantin Antonevich
The former general director of the telecommunications holding Almatel, Alexander Gadalov, was sent to a colony for 7 years. Konstantin Antonevich received 4 years in prison. The Moscow court found them guilty of fraud during the supply of equipment to the holding company, as well as in a securities scheme Phone 365 LLC. The damage from their actions exceeded 500 million rubles. It is noteworthy that Gadalov pleaded not guilty, although Konstantin Antonevich said that he followed the instructions of the chief. The victim in the case was businessman Alexander Udodov, whose requirements the court satisfied only partially.
Litigation with the heads of the telecommunications holding has been ongoing since the fall of 2021. So, at the end of 2016, Alexander Gadalov was the managing director of Alma Group LLC. Together with the company’s CEO Alexander Parkhomenko, he worked on a scheme to steal the holding’s money. Konstantin Antonevich joined them later.
Then a contract was concluded for the supply of equipment worth more than 70 million rubles, but in fact it was not supplied. The investigation believes that under this scheme there were also no deliveries of 2Kom Company for 20 million rubles. At the same time, defense witnesses stated that the equipment was purchased, but it was pledged to Vokbank. However, this evidence was not enough to justify the accused.
Alexander Parkhomenko also offered Alexander Udodov to purchase Telefon 365 promissory notes for 450 million rubles. He assured the businessman that when redeeming securities, you can earn a lot of money on interest. But in the end, Udodov never received the promised benefits. The organization repaid only part of the bills, and then refused to pay. Alexander Udodov was taken out of the process, and the court ignored his proposal to compensate for the damage caused by one-fifth of the shares in Tsifra Odin, the arrested property of Telephone 365 and the right to claim 230 million rubles to Eurasia Investments Management Company. The businessman’s defense is appealing the verdict.
