Former top manager of Russian airline jailed for seven years for corruption

The court sentenced the ex-head of the passenger service department of Yakutia Airlines, finding him guilty of corruption. This was reported to Lente.ru by the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the TFR.

The former top manager was found guilty on ten counts of taking bribes. He was sentenced to seven years in prison in a strict regime colony.

The court found that from January 2016 to March 2020, an airline employee received illegal remuneration totaling six million rubles from representatives of four companies. In exchange, he provided them with contracts for in-flight catering and the supply of dishes and pantry-kitchen equipment.

The accused pleaded guilty.
