They secured contracts for the supply and commissioning of training simulators at the maximum cost for two commercial firms owned by their acquaintances.
To do this, before the auction procedures, the defendants negotiated with selected suppliers, corrected the auction documentation, including draft government contracts and terms of reference. On the basis of forged documents, they formed the initial (maximum) prices of contracts, entered into the auction documentation limited delivery times and conditions on the absence of advance payments, which ensured victory in the auctions of previously identified organizations.
“The convicts were sentenced to a suspended sentence of 2.5 to 3 years, with a probationary period. The court also satisfied the civil claim filed by the Moscow State University named after Admiral Nevelskoy in the amount of 340,811,800 rubles,” the court said in a statement.
The verdict has not entered into force.
