The prosecutor’s office is preparing the financial grounds for turning property into state revenue that formally does not belong to the former head of the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district. He is already on the wanted list and arrested in absentia, and the supervision imposed sanctions unprecedented for St. Petersburg. Feel sorry for the official. Although, of course, in his position, living in a million-dollar apartment is a demonstration.
Eduard Ilyin is charged with taking a bribe in the amount of 5 million 600 thousand rubles. The sanction of part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code also provides for a fine in the amount of 70 times the amount of the bribe. Which is equal to 392 million. According to our information, such a text was published a few days ago in the decision of the Vasileostrovskiy Court. And this is not a discussion.
“Fontanka” from the very beginning of the fall of Ilyin gave news. At first, a united group of security officials consisting of the Investigative Committee, the economic police, the FSB, led by the district prosecutor’s office, literally stormed the administration in waves. And after the arrest of the deputy head, a criminal case was initiated against Ilyin. He understood what they were getting at, and the day before the arrest, he disappeared along the route of the relocant Petersburg-Minsk-Yerevan – substitute what you need. Soon a federal wanted list was announced – and hello, arrest in absentia. When the event cooled down, we put ironic information, they say, he still flew “on shoulder straps.” This case concerned the drinking of his subordinates. It turns out, and it is not a postscript.
While all this pricked the public and annoyed Smolny, the Vasileostrovskaya prosecutor’s office initiated a well-known, but not practiced on the Neva, algorithm for studying the property of those accused of bribery. The scheme began to be worked out on a monumental story with Colonel Zakharchenko. After the billions found from him, his relatives lost their property and assets, as if they were hidden under their jurisdiction by Zakharchenko himself.
Today, Fontanka knows the level of rolling on Ilyin. (It was necessary to turn all the security forces against him at once, when a couple of years ago he, in uniform as a police colonel, was sitting at the same table with them!)

And so the court seized all this mass, agreeing that Ilyin’s goal was to conceal income. “At the same time, the court takes into account that this measure does not violate the rights of the accused Ilyin, since procedural coercion is temporary within the framework of the preliminary investigation, and is not associated with the transfer of the right to the said property to another person or state,” the judge reassured.
Considering that Eduard Ilyin is not going to return to the cell, a sentence in absentia is not ruled out.
