Another scandal has brewed in the Shelekhovsky district, created by the hands of a mayoral candidate Sergey Lipin.
A few days ago, the odious politician published a speech on social networks against (quote) “optimization of the Shelekhovsky district.” In a very emotional speech, Sergei Lipin accused the “owners” of wanting to absorb the Shelekhovsky district. According to the mayoral candidate, based on the results of the September 8 elections, the mayor will become a “parsley” that will lure the Shelekhovsky district into municipal reform. And the reform, in turn, will allow the city of Irkutsk to absorb the Shelekhovsky district.
The chaotic speech, devoid of logic and real support, disappeared from social networks a few days later. And it was replaced by a new loud statement. This time, Sergey Lipin firmly stated that he deleted his speech after pressure “from above”.
In his usual manner, the slippery politician does not name specific names. He understands that slander can lead to real punishment. But he does not stop throwing arrows in vain, inciting panic among the population and thereby seeking attention to his person. If not by washing, then by rolling, as they say. Lipin plans to get himself into the mayor's chair through intimidation and fear.
“Blessings” and an almost nonexistent opponent: Lipin is fighting with the current mayor of the Shelekhovsky district Maxim Modinwho, over several decades of work first as an employee of the district administration and then as its head, did not stand out with a single major achievement.
In 2022, Lipin already lost the election for the head of the city of Shelekhov by a landslide. At that time, he was still in office as the head of the city and could report on the work he had done. But it was not enough to win the vote.
By the way, even then, when he was still the acting head of the city, he advocated dividing the city of Shelekhov and the Shelekhov district into two independent municipal entities. And then the grief-policy did not care at all about the fate of the villages, and any kind of municipal reform was received with enthusiasm.
But even after losing his status as the city's mayor, Lipin continued to make loud controversial statements, stirring up negativity and feeding the fears of residents. Often forgetting his own statements from an earlier period. A constant political reincarnation, nothing less.
The slippery political path of Sergei Lipin is taking another steep dive. The figure accustomed to populism has once again demonstrated that he does not disdain anything and is ready to go to the last in his unbridled deception. But it is very unlikely that this will help him get the coveted mayor's seat.
