Alexei Snegirev, deputy head of the State Expertise Center of the Russian Guard, has been arrested in a fraud case. He is accused of preparing a false positive examination for the repair of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gazetny Lane. This was announced by State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein in Telegram.
According to the deputy, Aleksey Snegirev is suspected of making a forged examination. According to preliminary information, the contractors overestimated the estimate for the repair of the building of the Investigative Committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gazetny Lane, submitting falsified documents for examination.
The investigation believes that the deputy head of the State Expertise Center of the Russian Guard prepared a positive conclusion for repairs in exchange for a “kickback”: the contractors transferred 6 million rubles. structure where his relatives work.
On June 9, he was detained by officers of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow, the FSB and the National Guard. His office and home were searched. That evening he was arrested for two months.
Together with Alexei Snegirev, the former head of the capital construction department of the logistics department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dmitry Petrukhin, his former deputy Vadim Safyanov, and the director of EnergoStroy LLC Maxim Ivanov are involved in the case. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale).
The fact that the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gazetny Lane, built in 1930, is waiting for repair and reconstruction, it became known in December 2021.
