Evgeny Bambizov
Evgeniy Bambizov was “captured” on November 19, 2019, three days after the arrest of the head of Ukreximbank, Alexander Gritsenko. Both of them are suspects case regarding the purchase of Ukrainian Media Holdingin which many famous people were involved: Sergei Kurchenko, Boris Lozhkin, Petro Poroshenko, Alexander Klimenko. The case is so complicated that Bambizov alone was charged with five volumes! But this is only a small part of what is now remembered about the former head of the Office of Large Taxpayers. This department of the tax service works with the largest enterprises and businessmen in Ukraine, and provides up to 60% of all tax revenues to the budget. Therefore, the corrupt officials who worked there did not pick their pockets for small change, they swindled hundreds of millions and billions, with the corresponding kickbacks.
Costumed “atoshnik”
Evgeniy Evgenievich Bambizov was born on September 6, 1980, in Kharkov. His father Evgeniy Petrovich Bambizov made a career for himself at the Radiorele plant, located in the Odessa region. Their whole family was attached to this enterprise. For example, an apartment in a brick Khrushchev building on Gagarin Avenue, in which Evgeniy Petrovich is registered, was allocated to the Bambizov grandparents back in the 60s. Evgeniy Petrovich (born 1957), came to Radiorel in the 80s as a young specialist, and immediately received an apartment from the plant in a nine-story panel “Brezhnevka” on Kirgizskaya Street (all this is next to the plant). Which he later gave to his son Evgeny Evgenievich in 1999, where he was registered until recently.
In the 90s, Evgeny Petrovich Bambizov quickly rose through the ranks of an enterprise that had fallen into an economic coma. According to sources Skelet.Infothis was facilitated by his “entrepreneurial” talent: the plant owned “surplus” real estate, which was well rented in this very busy area of the city. In 2007, Evgeniy Petrovich was mentioned in the media as the plant’s deputy director for personnel. In 2017-2018 he submitted declarations as the chief engineer of the enterprise. Now he is called a pensioner, and a very comfortable one at that, enjoying traveling around the world.
Of course, dad took care of his only son in every possible way. He got his son out of the army and helped him graduate from Kharkov National University. It is interesting that Bambizov Jr., who has never served anywhere (much less fought), loves to dress up in military uniform and even gave lectures on patriotism and the heroic “path of the warrior.” For him, these are just “role-playing games,” although not only for pleasure: the media wrote that Bambizov wanted to somehow carve out the status of a participant in hostilities – on the basis of the fact that he was allegedly in the ATO zone unofficially, at the call of his heart. However, it is known that in the period 2014-2019. Evgeny Bambizov worked diligently and continuously in the civil service, and spent his legal holidays with his family at resorts.
In 2003, Evgeniy Bambizov got a job at the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) of the Dzerzhinsky (now Shevchenkovsky) district of Kharkov – starting as a simple inspector, but quickly rising to the top. Already in 2004, he became a senior inspector, in 2005, deputy head of the department, and a year later, head of the tax audit department. According to sources Skelet.Infothis became possible thanks to his personal relationship with Galina Fedenko, the then head of the Dzerzhinsk State Tax Inspectorate. True, there is no clear opinion about their relationship. Some claim that Bambizov was either friends with Fedenko’s daughter, or even courted her. Others say that he became a friend of Galina Mikhailovna herself. It is worth noting here that, according to an open database, a certain Roman Parisi (9 years younger than her), a graduate of KhNMU and a big fan of the Russian News Agency, was registered in Fedenko’s apartment (on Blucher). What connects him with Galina Mikhailovna remains unknown – maybe she is his older sister or aunt, or maybe someone else. In general, in such a situation, Evgeny Bambizov can be considered, at a minimum, a friend of the Fedenko family.
Galina Fedenko
Meanwhile, Fedenko herself owed much of her success to the scandalous general Stanislav Denisyuk, who in 2006 moved from the chair of the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs to the chair of the head of the regional State Tax Inspectorate, having spread monstrous corruption there. Accordingly, Evgeny Bambizov soon became close friends with Denisyuk. Subsequently, this gave rise to the claim that it was Denisyuk who pulled Bambizov to the top – however, this version, as you can see for yourself, is not correct. Because even before Denisyuk went to work at the State Tax Inspectorate, the Bambizov’s career was rapidly gaining momentum thanks to Galina Fedenko, who still remains almost unexposed in the scandalous biography of Evgeny Bambizov.
Stanislav Denisyuk
But it is necessary to add one more important detail to this picture – the then Kharkov governor Arsen Avakov, under whom Denisyuk made this castling, and then for several years “worshiped” at the head of the regional tax office. After all, Denisyuk, like his henchmen Zhilin, were odious figures well known to all Kharkov residents, those very “werewolves in uniform”, in fact the creators of the Kharkov “cop mafia”. And Avakov, knowing this well, did not even try to achieve at least the removal of Denisyuk, no! On the contrary, he got along with them very well. Of course, it was extremely important for the governor-businessman to have his own person at the head of the tax office. And now attention: as the owner of Basis Bank (liquidated in 2016) and a number of large companies, Avakov was the same large taxpayer with whom Galina Fedenko and her faithful deputy Evgeniy Bambizov personally worked. And judging by the fact that after 2014 Fedenko remained in her position, and Bambizov generally went for a promotion, they worked well with Arsen Borisovich…
“Poor” publican
After the second Maidan, the country was swept by a wave of so-called lustrations. Formally, it was conceived as a massive cleansing of power and government structures from the corruption that had corroded them, which was long necessary – and no one argued with this. However, in fact, lustration has become a tool for settling political scores and a tool for freeing seats from the “Donetsk” ones. So that their places will be taken by no less odious corrupt officials from other parties and regions – who declared themselves patriots, wearing embroidered shirts or military uniforms to disguise themselves. Among them was Evgeny Bambizov. Despite his direct involvement in the Ukrainian Media Holding case and other schemes, Bambizov successfully passed lustration. True, he had to leave Kharkov again, but instead of charges and a well-deserved criminal case, Bambizov received a promotion.
First, in February 2015, Evgeniy Bambizov was “sent” to Odessa for a similar position as deputy head of the Specialized Tax Inspectorate for working with large taxpayers. There he waited for the reform of his department: the former State Tax Inspectorate, which during the time of Yanukovych became the Ministry of Revenue and Duties, was reformatted into the State Fiscal Service (SFS), and its Specialized Tax Inspectorate became the Office of Large Taxpayers. And already in June 2015, Bambizov was appointed first deputy head of the Odessa regional department of the State Fiscal Service – and in the absence of the head himself, he performed his duties.
The new tax chief amazed Odessa residents with his feigned “poverty.” For 2014, he declared only 80 thousand hryvnia of income, an unemployed wife (with 10.5 thousand hryvnia of assistance for the birth of a child), lack of vehicles and a modest apartment (in Kharkov) of 38.7 square meters. Rented housing in Odessa, according to Bambizov, was paid for by his father – since the low-income person has an acting the head of the tax office, with an unemployed wife Ekaterina Eduardovna and two children (now three), there was not enough money even for food. That, however, did not stop Bambizov from showing off at work in new expensive suits, wearing a watch on his hand that cost two annual salaries and driving “borrowed” expensive foreign cars. That is, by pretending to be poor, Bambizov went too far so much that this precisely aroused close public attention. However, he did not care about the public, since he had high patrons behind him. And while the residents of Odessa were just about to express their thoughts to him, Bambizov abandoned them and at the beginning of 2016 he left for Kyiv, to the high position of head of the Office of Large Taxpayers of the State Fiscal Service.
