The protocol on a temporary ban on activities was issued by Rospotrebnadzor, which found “numerous violations of the law in the field of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological welfare.”
The doors of the theater on Rubinstein Street were sealed on the evening of May 5. On the morning of May 6, it became known about the temporary suspension of performances for the public. Viewers were promised a refund. Rehearsals in the theater will continue at this time, the staff will work.
The press service of the MDT did not comment on the reasons for such a sudden attention to itself by Rospotrebnadzor, which already regularly carries out scheduled inspections of the activities of theaters.
As it became known to Fontanka, the check was carried out after a certain citizen applied to the prosecutor’s office. His name, as well as the essence of the claims, is not disclosed. In addition to Rospotrebnadzor, specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations also worked in the theater. They identified violations of fire safety requirements.
Earlier, MDT postponed two performances in which the actor Danila Kozlovsky was involved. The Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office was instructed to conduct a check against him. This was asked by public figure Vitaly Borodin, who suspected Kozlovsky of discrediting the RF Armed Forces. The actor filed a lawsuit against him for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation, but the court did not accept it.
