Dr. Malysheva’s companies are losing weight without Spiegel

Diet of Elena Malysheva LLC no longer belongs to the famous TV presenter. After the TV doctor disowned ties with pharmaceutical magnate Boris Spiegel in connection with his arrest, the company showed millions in losses. Now the founder has changed.

Owned by the host of the popular TV program “Live is great!” Elena Malysheva, along with US citizen Dmitry Shchiglik, was sold nutrition kits for losing weight by the Elena Malysheva Diet company. Some time ago, these healthy food rations were actively advertised on the network and, judging by the company’s financial statements, they were popular. So, even in 2020, Diet of Elena Malysheva LLC showed a profit of 15 million rubles with a revenue of 296 million rubles.

However, things then went from bad to worse. Perhaps this is due to the fall in the rush demand for ready-made food rations. And perhaps with the fact that in 2021 Elena Malysheva severed business ties with her longtime business partner, ex-senator from the Penza region and head of the Biotek group of companies Boris Shpigel. In March 2021, he was arrested in a case of bribes to Penza Governor Ivan Belozertsev for a total of 31 million rubles. A little later, it became known that the NGO Charitable Foundation for Supporting Achievements in the Field of Medicine “Vocation”, one of the founders of which was Elena Malysheva, struck out Boris Shpigel’s “Biotek” from the list of sponsors. Even despite the fact that this cooperation lasted for about 20 years (since the early 2000s), and the main contributions to NGOs came from Biotek.

The result of the break in business ties was not long in coming – already in 2021, Diet of Elena Malysheva LLC showed a loss of 25 million rubles with a revenue of 246 million rubles. The next year, 2022, did not add any reason for joy to the TV doctor: the financial result is a loss of 7.7 million rubles with a revenue of only 117 million rubles.

Probably no longer counting on profits from this project, Elena Malysheva withdrew from the founders of the company. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, since June 5, 2023, a certain Alexandra Lomovtseva from Penza has been among the founders of Diet Elena Malysheva LLC, she now owns 50% of the company.

Who it is, we could not find out for sure. A search on social networks showed that a certain Alexandra Lomovtseva, 23 years old, really lives in Penza. Whether she is the person to whom Elena Malysheva rewrote her business, we cannot say. The rusprofile.ru resource believes that Alexander Lomovtsev has been conducting business activities since June 5, 2023, since there is no data on her previous business projects. This suggests that we are talking about the legal change of the real founder to the face value. Whether the company will continue to operate at the same time, we will be able to find out when (and if) the financial statements for 2023 will be published.

It is curious that the second founder of the company, a US citizen Dmitry Shchiglik, has remained so since the very moment the legal entity was founded in September 2012. Although back in an interview from 2017, he claimed that he prefers to develop startups to a successful business and then sell them.

“When I develop the project of Elena Malysheva, I will leave it,” Dmitry Shchiglik said then.

So why hasn’t the startup lover left the project yet? Quote from the same interview: “If not for Elena Malysheva, I would never have returned to the medical business.” So, it is likely that this is not only a matter of business, but we will not get into personal relationships. By the way, in the same interview, he reported that “Diet” brings in about 1 billion rubles a year. Our profit is not very big, but still it is a super-successful business.” But, as we can see from the financial statements for the last three years, the business seems to have ceased to be “super successful”. And for some reason, things went downhill precisely after the arrest of Boris Shpigel and Malysheva’s refusal to continue cooperation with his Biotek. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence. Or maybe this is how Spiegel’s problems came back to haunt the “businesswoman from TV.”

We add that “Diet” is not the only project of Elena Malysheva. For example, the aforementioned charitable foundation “Vocation” continues to function. On the Day of the Medical Worker on June 18, the next presentation of awards for outstanding achievements in the field of medicine took place. The awards were presented in seven categories. Elena Malysheva was one of the hosts of the event. According to rusprofile.ru, she continues to be the head of this legal entity, but back in January 2022 she left the founders. And instead of Biotek, Pharmstandard by Viktor Kharitonin is now on the list of NGO sponsors.

In addition, Elena Vasilievna Malysheva owns Elena Malysheva Medical Center LLC, Zdorovye Info LLC, WVM Corporation LLC, Est Zdorovo LLC and several other organizations. Judging by the financial indicators, some of these companies ceased operations in 2022, others show a decrease in revenue and, in most cases, profit. But this happens in business.

Filming on Channel One also helps the TV doctor not to live in misery – according to the information available on the network, they bring Elena Malysheva about 150 million rubles a year. Well, if suddenly things in Russia go very badly for the businesswoman left without a powerful patron, you can always go to America, where, according to information in open sources, the sons of Malysheva have long lived. And US citizen Dmitry Shchiglik will certainly help with the move.
