One step away from criminal prosecution
Aleksey Dodatko got into the regional parliament in the fall of 2021 in a single constituency – and immediately to the post of chairman of the legislative body. 43 deputies out of 52 voted for his candidacy. Three were opposed. Other applicants (including Dmitry Sviridov, Sergey Popov, Denis Terekhov, Alexey Kulesh, Zakhar Endzhievsky) recused themselves. So Dodatko remained the only candidate for the speaker at the stage of nomination.
Prior to that, for seven years (2014–2021), Dodatko headed the Press and Mass Communications Agency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The very structure that spends the budgetary funds of the region on a dubious kind of media and social research. Stably, once a quarter, the agency plays an auction based on a population survey. The amount (about 4 million rubles) is repeated, as is the topic of the study: the level of public confidence in the president Vladimir Putin and the governor Alexandru Ussas well as an assessment of the activities of the heads of municipalities.
In 2017, activities in the field of printing and mass communications almost brought our hero to criminal prosecution. For several years he was under investigation in the case of the loss of almost 400 million rubles by the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This amount went into the hands of a businessman, and now a deputy of the State Duma of the eighth convocation from the Communist Party Ivan Babich. Babich, who headed the Krasnoyarsk company Mobile Technologies in 2010-2021, won the tender for the sale of the property of JSC PIK Offset in 2016. The real estate and equipment of the printing plant went to Mobile Technologies in a single lot for 266.9 million rubles, with a starting price of 395.6 million. Shortly after the transaction took place, the new owners decided to liquidate Offset – the company is still in the process of liquidation.
The investigation considered the tender potentially fraudulent. It turned out that on the eve of the auction, Dodatko and Babich met several times and negotiated on an unnamed topic. Nevertheless, Aleksey Dodatko avoided direct accusations and criminal prosecution – the collected materials were not enough for this, the case did not reach the court. But look at that – life and career could go in a completely different direction. With regard to Ivan Babich, who now works in the building on Okhotny Ryad, the same can be said.
From the deputy director of the lyceum to the main United Russia party of the region
Aleksey Dodatko has a legal education, profile – a specialist in social work. In the 1990s and 2000s, he began his career in the field of education: he was deputy head of the NOU “Krasnoyarsk Intensive School” and deputy director of the NOU “Humanities and Law Lyceum”. At the turn of the 90s and zero, he taught at the Department of Theory and Methods of Social Work of the Social and Legal Faculty of KrasGU.
In 2001, he entered the civil service (at that time he was 26 years old) as head of the department for special projects in the field of local self-government of the regional administration. 2004 becomes a fateful year for Dodatko – he joins the ranks of the ruling party. In 2004-2007, he held the post of deputy head – head of the propaganda department of the Regional Executive Committee of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of the United Russia party. In 2007–2008, he became the head of the regional executive committee of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of EdRa.
Having joined the ranks of United Russia, he took part in a number of important campaigns, including the referendum on the unification of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Taimyr and Evenk Autonomous Okrugs; in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in 2004 and 2008, the elections of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – this is the list of election campaigns that is indicated on the United Russia website.
From March 2008 to September 2013 – Vice Speaker of the Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies.
In 2013, he was appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the Central Territorial District. In 2014, he was appointed head of the Krai Press and Mass Communications Agency.
In 2016, Alexei Dodatko was elected for the first time as the secretary of the regional branch of the United Russia party. His closest competitor in that party vote was now the vice-mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov. In February 2022, without much competition, he was re-elected to this position. The title of the main United Russia member of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was firmly entrenched in Dodatko.
Lover of motorcycles and village life
Now to the declaration. For 2021, Alexey Dodatko declared an income of 4.9 million rubles. He owns: a land plot of more than 2 thousand square meters, a residential building for 243 “squares”, an apartment in joint ownership with his wife with an area of 51 “squares”. Of the vehicles – only a motorcycle “Yamaha”.

After Instagram was blocked (*the social network was recognized as extremist in the territory of the Russian Federation), he settled mainly on VKontakte. Dosed openness for human eyes, of course, is a plus for public politics. In an interview with the Yenisei TV company, Alexei Dodatko says that he lives in his country house “in a rustic way” – with a chicken coop, a small garden and a cellar with pickles. He declares his craving for such a “household” as his childhood in a small regional center in the Rostov region, where there were all the attributes of village life. Since childhood, the politician calls drawing his hobby, draws pictures in the style of fantasy.
