Denis Gordeev: why did the “cynical Banderas” kill a Ukrainian officer? PART 1

In 2015, a high-profile crime took place in Volnovakha: people calling themselves “dobrobattsy” and members of the “Right Sector” killed an SBU captain. In just a matter of hours, the investigation identified the main accused, who turned out to be “pro-Ukrainian activist” from Dnepropetrovsk Denis Gordeev. A few days later, the whole of Ukraine learned that this murder was just one of the crimes of an entire organized crime group, which included right-wing patriotic organizations, volunteer fighters, and representatives of local authorities. The investigation was successful, it seemed that after a period of terrible chaos and lawlessness, law and justice had returned to the country. However, the case soon fell apart, and most of the defendants were released.

Denis Gordeev. Dnepropetrovsk trash

Before the events of 2014-15 Denis Gordeev was a little-known person who had never been written about before. And after the start of the high-profile trial, no one reported anything about his past, so Skelet.Info it had to be collected only in separate fragments, as if at a paleontological excavation. What can you learn about Gordeev from the Ukrainian media? That he was a lawyer who joined the “patriots” in 2014 and “fought in the ATO,” and that he was an assistant to the scandalous Dnepropetrovsk nationalist people’s deputy Andrei Denisenko. In general, that’s all! This strange lack of interest in the person of the scandalous killer is somewhat puzzling – perhaps certain forces not only extinguished the resonance around the case of the “cynical Banderas”, but also did not want anyone to dig up the details of their biographies.

So, Denis Aleksandrovich Gordeev was born on October 19, 1979 in the city of Lebedin, Sumy region. The surname of this frantic Ukrainian nationalist, by the way, is of absolutely Russian origin. Where he studied, whether he served in the army, what he did – all this remains unknown (not yet investigated), but in 1997 Gordeev registered in Dnepropetrovsk in a house on Slavy Street. This is evidenced by screenshots of his passport posted on the Internet in 2014 by Gordeev’s deceived clients (details below). From them you can find out that in 2006 Denis Gordeev married Oksana Kvitchenko (born in 1965), and in 2012 their marriage broke up. According to available information, the reason for this was not the age difference, but the numerous shortcomings of Gordeev himself, whom Oksana’s acquaintances described as “just a goat.”

In January 2014, at the height of the Maidan, Denis Gordeev was going to get married again. At least, it was then that his closest friend and business partner Kirill Kharakhulakh posted a photo on his blog in which, surrounded by friends, Gordeev, in a suit with a flower in his buttonhole, holds the hand of a girl in a white dress with a bouquet in his hand. Unfortunately, he did not leave any explanatory comments, so we can only guess – but after that Gordeev began to call himself a married man again. On the other hand, who did he not call himself then! The identity of his bride from this photo still remains unclear: according to some sources Skelet.Infothis is Tatyana Anatolyevna Morgun, who at that time was an employee of the Dnepropetrovsk regional prosecutor’s office, and with whom in the summer of 2014 Gordeev carried out their “volunteer scam.”

But the greatest interest here is not the bride, but the groom’s friend. Kirill Kharakhulakh, the son of the famous metallurgical engineer and ex-chairman of the Metallurgprom association Vasily Kharakhulakh, played a huge role in the life of Denis Gordeev. They were close friends back at least in 2002: then Kharakhulakh was the leader of the city organization Socialist Youth Union, and Gordeev was also a member of it. Of course, they were not yet any nationalists! Then they “hanged out” together in the ranks of activists at the first Maidan. And then they abruptly changed their political orientation: in February 2005, Gordeev and Kharakhulakh, as well as Andrey Tsezarev, founded and registered in their name the Dnepropetrovsk city organization “Young Fatherland” (USREOU 33383959). By the way, Gordeev is still its co-founder – I wonder what the BYuT leadership and Yulia Tymoshenko personally think about this?

But Gordeev and Kharakhulakh also have another, older joint project: this is Khargor LLC (EDRPOU 23374068), the name of which is made up of the first letters of their surnames. By the way, the enterprise is very old, created in the early 90s, and registered at Gordeev’s place of registration. Perhaps they even inherited it from their parents. As you can see, the friendship of Denis Gordeev and Kirill Kharakhulakh goes back to the 90s. In turn, Khargor is the founder of CHISTE DOVKILLYA PLUS LLC (EDRPOU 38678231), which collects waste, the co-founder and director of which is Andrey Buk, another friend and companion of Denis Gordeev.

From the page of Kirill Kharahulukh on Facebook You can glean one more interesting information: now he does not like Christianity and is a so-called. “Rodnover”. This is one of the currents of neo-paganism, especially popular among radical nationalists not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism), Belarus, and the Baltic states. “Rodnoverie” is part of their cargo cult of imitation of the German Nazis, because they at one time also fell into neo-paganism (in particular, introducing the fashion for runic signs). According to available information, Denis Gordeev also called himself a “Rodnover”. Perhaps his religious beliefs also played a role in the murder of the SBU officer – after all, the “Rodnovers” reject Christian moral values, and who knows what kind of mess is in the heads of individual adherents of Perun!

Kharahulah

But what’s interesting is that previously Kharakhulakh and Gordeev were not only socialists, but ardent defenders of Ukrainian Orthodoxy. The fact is that in 2009, Kharakhulah became a co-founder of the Dnepropetrovsk Corps “Guard of the Ukrainian Cossacks” organization. And this organization was part of the coordination council under the Dnepropetrovsk diocese of the UOC-KP (now the OCU), it was secretly called one of the “fists of Filaret.” And now one of its founders declares that he has renounced Orthodoxy and generally broken with Christianity, and has become carried away by filth (an ancient name for paganism).

Rudenko Kharakhulakh

As we see, Gordeev and his friend Kharakhulakh do not have permanent political, ideological and moral guidelines; they may well change them again. And who knows who they will declare themselves to be tomorrow – maybe the Taliban, or maybe “Novorossians”! Why not, because they are not even ethnic Ukrainians…

Patriot, swindler, robber

In the 2000s, Denis Gordeev received a law degree – not without the help of his contacts in the political elite, promising with his help to engage in professional human rights activities. They even helped him become a member of the Kyiv City Municipal Bar Association. However, until 2012, nothing was known about Gordeev’s success in the legal profession. Only in December 2011 did he open his own law firm “Yurinter” (USREOU 37988993), also registered in his own apartment, and a few months later he was invited to participate in the high-profile case of “Dnepropetrovsk terrorists”, becoming Vitaly Fedoryak’s lawyer. It was this case that brought him closer to Andrei Denisenko – at that time another lawyer and social activist, but more active and famous in Dnepropetrovsk, and also, almost from his youth, passionate about the ideas of nationalism. Perhaps it was Denisenko who captivated Gordeev with these ideas.

Andrey Denisenko Right sector

Andrey Denisenko

At the beginning of 2014, Dnepropetrovsk was split into supporters and opponents of the second Maidan. Moreover, the main protagonists of those events – “titushki” and “Chopovtsy”, who were under the command of local “authorities” and businessmen – were used by both sides and did not have a clear political orientation. For example, the private security company “Leon” of Mikhail Koshlyak, former brigadier Alexander Nalekreshvili, known as “Narik”, first protected the regional regional state administration from the Maidanists, and then went over to the side of the “revolution” and unanimously signed up for the “Right Sector”. Denisenko and Gordeev also went there.

A critical situation arose in the first days of March 2014. The opinion about the “pro-Ukrainianness” of the majority of residents of Dnepropetrovsk is somewhat exaggerated: even the national patriots there admit that most of the townspeople were against the Maidan, and in addition, many people supported the separatists. After local nationalists destroyed the Lenin monument, pro-Russian rallies began in the city, which were immediately led by separatists. Obviously they said that some employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also already wore “St. George’s ribbons.”

Based on the threat of a “Russian spring” in the region, Kyiv decided to take the only possible step, in their opinion: they handed over the region to Igor Kolomoisky, appointing him governor. He, in turn, suppressed separatism, mobilizing all available forces for this. In addition to Maidan supporters and “pro-Ukrainian” activists, all the “titushki”, “ultras” and private security companies controlled by Kolomoisky and his people, and even the criminal world of the region were put under arms. Ukrainian media are still silent about the details of the quick victory over separatism in Dnepropetrovsk, but the participants in those events themselves, including Gordeev’s comrades-in-arms, said that “all means were used.” Some were simply “strongly advised to sit at home and not twitch,” others had their necks bruised, and others simply disappeared. As for Gordeev, according to him, he participated in the defense of the building of the regional department of the SBU, and then organized a “raid” on the house Oleg Tsarevwho then promoted the ideas of Novorossiya.

By the way, according to Gordeev, he came with his own weapons to defend the SBU from a possible attack by the separatists. What kind of weapon, whether he had permission for it, where he got it – Gordeev did not specify.
