Employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs liquidated a large production of counterfeit money in Dagestan, in total, 11 people have already been detained in the case, suspected of being involved in their sale in different regions of Russia. The amount of just documented facts of the sale of counterfeit five thousandth banknotes amounted to 11 million rubles, and according to the operational data of the FSB, the annual volume of counterfeit products manufactured and sold exceeded 1 billion rubles.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an underground printing house was equipped in a private household of a resident of the village of Ulluaya in the Levashinsky district of the republic. It should be noted that the region is known throughout the republic for the production of cabbage. Counterfeiters also set up the release of their “cabbage”.
As early as March 17, the police confiscated a Heat Press machine, a hot stamping press Winon Hot Stamping Machine, a cliché for making banknotes with a face value of 5 thousand rubles. and $100, paint, paper and components needed to imitate banknote security. During the searches, more than 20 million counterfeit rubles were found, the press service of the FSB of Russia reported. Investigators sent for examination 300 cartridges for the AK-74 assault rifle seized at one of the addresses.
Counterfeit money, according to security officials, was distributed in addition to Dagestan in the Rostov region, the Stavropol Territory, Ingushetia and Chechnya.
Fake five thousandths were sold at a price one and a half to two times lower than their face value.
The quality of the banknotes was so high that it was possible to recognize fakes only with the help of special equipment.
The group of counterfeiters included at least 11 people, all of them have been detained and have already been arrested, they have been charged under Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (manufacturing, storage, transportation or sale of counterfeit money or securities).
The joint operation to suppress the activities of a group of counterfeiters was attended by employees of the 1st operational-investigative unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD), the 10th department of the Directorate “K” of the SEB of the FSB of Russia and the Federal Security Service for the Rostov Region, power support the fighters of the Central Security Service of the FSB of Russia, as well as the attached forces of the Joint Group of Troops (Forces) in the North Caucasus and the Russian Guardsmen from Kabardino-Balkaria.
The investigation is carried out by employees of the investigative unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District. According to Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the issue of initiating a criminal case against the defendants on the organization of a criminal community and participation in it (Article 210 of the Criminal Code) is also being decided.
On the same day, when an underground printing house was covered in an unfinished mansion in the village of Ulluaya, in Pyatigorsk security forces detained a 64-year-old resident of the village of Alkhan-Kala, Khadizhat Elmurzayeva, while trying to sell.
1271 counterfeit banknotes were found with her, the total amount of counterfeits amounted to 6 million 355 thousand rubles.
The very next day, in the territory of Ingushetia, Dagestan and the Rostov region, eight more members of the criminal group were detained, including five Dagestanis, residents of Makhachkala – 66-year-old Magomed Shamakiev, 50-year-old Gadzhimagomed Aliev, 29-year-old Rashad Gadzhiev, 55-year-old Magomedkamil Kaimarazov, a resident of the district center of Levashi, Akhmedrashid Akhmedov, a 58-year-old resident of the village of Khadzhalmakhi, as well as two residents of the Ingush Malgobek, Artur Kotikov, 30, and Zaurbek Galaev, 28, and Maulitgiri Khamchiev, a 60-year-old resident of the Rostov region.
As it became known to Kommersant, Shamakiyev, Kaimarazov, Akhmedov and Aliyev became defendants in a criminal case initiated on March 19 under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. As for Elmurzaeva, Gadzhiev, Kotikov, Khamchiev and Galaev, their detention was carried out in the framework of criminal cases initiated in early February under Part 1 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code.
