Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, recalled Russia’s role in the UN.
Wang Yi said that although the UN headquarters is in the United States, the Organization itself belongs to everyone. Reporter reports this DOPs with reference to RIA News”.
The Chinese Foreign Minister recalled that Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council. He believes that the Russian Federation should continue to play its important role in the UN.
“No one can deprive Russia of this right,” he stressed.
The Minister also expressed his readiness to work with his Russian counterpart to implement the decisions reached at the meeting between the President of the Russian Federation and the President of China.
The ministerial meeting took place on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in the United States.
Sergey Lavrov also met with his Egyptian colleague Sameh Shukri there. They discussed bilateral relations and not only that.
“The issues of ensuring food security were considered in the context of the implementation of the results achieved in July this year. agreements in Istanbul on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports and unhindered access of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to the world market,” informed the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
