The Chernihiv OVA, run by Vyacheslav Chaus, purchases construction materials for war victims at significantly inflated prices. Recently, officials bought lumber for 15,000 UAH/m3 at a market price of 6,000 UAH. About it told Volunteer Oleg Serik in his address to President Volodymyr Zelensky, writes business.
“I always knew that fish rotted from the head. But I did not think that this head was Chaus! While I’m running around the offices with applications from fire victims, officials of the Chernihiv Regional Military District are buying building materials at prices two to three times higher than market prices. Lumber at 15,000 UAH per cubic meter m!“, – said Oleg Serik.
The money from which lumber was purchased is 100 million hryvnias, which the Cabinet of Ministers allocated for the restoration of the Chernihiv region, in particular, for the restoration of private houses destroyed by the Russians, in which people must survive the winter.
“The forest is now hard to sell abroad. I have a lot of familiar entrepreneurs who used to sell their products for export, now they don’t take them. They are here on the spot ready to sell lumber for about six thousand hryvnia per cubic meter. And they, the OVA housing and communal services department, managed to take the forest for 15,000 hryvnias per cubic meter!“, – says Serik.
Online appeared and other information about the purchases of the Chernihiv OVA – some items are three times more expensive if we compare the cost in the acts of acceptance and transfer of building materials signed by the head of the housing and communal services department and market prices for them.
