Russian oligarchs

BLAVATNIK Leonard (Leonid) Valentinovich (b.1957) is a British and American tycoon with strong Russian ties. He was born in Odessa and grew up in Yaroslavl and Moscow, in 1978 he emigrated to the United States with his parents. In 1981, Blavatnik got US citizenship. There he studied at Columbia University, where he received a master’s degree in computer science.

BABAKOV Alexander Mikhailovich (b. 19653 in Chisinau) graduated from the Economics Department of Moscow State University, Department of Economics of Foreign Countries, in 1985. After graduation, he entered graduate school and later defended his Kandidat thesis on “State regulation of agricultural relations in developing countries.”

Aven Pyotr Olegovich  was born on 16th March 1955 in Moscow. In 1997 he graduated from the School (Faculty) of Economics and received his graduate degree at the Department of Mathematical Methods in Economic Analysis.

AGALAROV Araz Iskender oglu (b. 1955 in Baku) graduated from the Baku Polytechnic Institute with a degree in computer engineering in 1977. After receiving his diploma, he worked for six years at a research institute in Baku, and then at the Baku city committee of the Communist Party.
