Russian oligarchs

GROMOV Alexey Alexeyevich (b. 1960) is a Russian politician and Soviet-Russian diplomat. Born in Zagorsk near Moscow, he graduated from the History Department of Moscow State University in 1982. Reportedly, he cooperated with the KGB from his student years.

GORELOV Dmitry Vladimirovich (b. 1948) is one of Putin’s associates involved in corruption schemes and criminal connections. Born in Moscow, in 1973 he graduated from the Leningrad Military Medical Academy. Since 1977, he worked in the department of international relations of the General Directorate of Health of Leningrad, and also was a member of the KGB, rising to the rank of colonel.

GREF (Gräf) Herman Oskarovich (b. 1964) is a Russian politician and economist. Born in Kazakhstan into a family of Volga Germans, he graduated from the Law Faculty of Omsk State University in 1990 and received a Ph.D. in Economics from St. Petersburg State University in 1993. In the 1990s, Herman Gref worked at various positions in the administration of St. Petersburg. In 1994, he became Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Management of City Property.

ABRAMOVICH Roman Arkadievich (b. 1966) began his career after military service in 1987 as the mechanic of the construction department No. 122 of the Mosspetsmontazh trust. From January 1989 to May 1991, together with Eugene Shvidler, he founded the Uyut cooperative, which was engaged in the production of toys from polymers.

FRIDMAN Mikhail Maratovich (b.1964) is a Russian-Israeli tycoon, founder of Alfa Group Consortium, owner of LetterOne Holdings, a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, co-founder of the Russian Jewish Congress. Born in Lviv in Western Ukraine, in 1986, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.

FRADKOV Peter (Pyotr)  Mikhailovich (b. 1978 in Moscow) graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 2000 with a degree in world economics. The first job of a young MGIMO graduate was the position of the head of the department, deputy representative of Vnesheconombank of the USSR (VEB) in the United States.

FIRTASH Dmitry Vasilyevich (b. 1965) graduated from Donetsk Railway College in 1984. In 1984-1986, he served in the Soviet army. After the army, he moved to Chernivtsi, got married and worked as a driver in the fire department of the Chernivtsi shoe factory for some time, but soon became engaged in business.

DERIPASKA Oleg Vladimirovich (b.1968) is a Russian oligarch, one of the richest people in Russia. Born in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and grew up in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar Krai, in 1993 he graduated from Moscow State University with a major in physics

CHAIKA Artem Yuryevich (b. 1977) graduated from the law faculty of Irkutsk State University in 1977. In 1998, he was admitted to the Moscow City Bar Association. In 2002, he defended his Ph.D. thesis. In 2003, he became an attorney at the Chaadaev, Kheifets and Partners Bar Association. Since 2014, he has been a tax resident of Switzerland.
