Russian oligarchs

MYACHIN, Viktor Yevgenyevich (b. 1961 in Leningrad) was a graduate and employee of the Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he worked till 1992.

MUROVA Lyudmila Anatolyevna (b. 1946) owns Elgold LLC, which had a subsidiary, NVMK-holding LLC. Alfa-Invest LLC, Real Estate Management LLC, Bavaria Tools LLC, Instroy-M LLC, RA Vitana LLC, Tehresurs LLC, and AFP Regul LLC are all registered on the same phone number. Lyudmila Murova is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Curling Federation of Russia, along with Ala Yurievna Kozhina, the wife of the head of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation. He also owns the Unified Medical Center, Phoenix LLC. It owns 50% in Forum-Capital LLC and Prom-Capital LLC, both companies are founders of the Baltic Perspective.

MUROV Andrei Yevgenyevich (b. 1970 in Moscow) was born into a family of a KGB officer, Yevgeny Murov (later on a director of the Federal Protective Service of the Russian Federation from 2000 to 2016).

Mordashov Alexey Aleksandrovich was born on September 26, 1965 in Cherepovets in the Vologda area in workers’ family; Russian. In 1988 he graduated with excellence from the Leningrad Engineering-Economical Institute. During study he got acquainted with Anatoly Chubais.

Kostin Andrey born on September 21, 1956, in Moscow. In 1979, he graduated with honors from the economic faculty of Moscow State University of Lomonosov, majoring in international economics. In 1982, he defended his thesis and received an academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (his thesis was “Globalization as a form of internationalization of the economy”).

KABAEVA Alina Maratovna (b. 1983) is a retired Russian gymnast and former member of the State Duma. Born in Tashkent into a Russian-Tatar family of athletes, she started her career rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 11. She was a member of the Russian national team since 1996.

KERIMOV Suleiman Abdusaidovich (b. 1966 in Derbent) is a Russian billionaire businessman and politician of Lezgin origin. Kerimov graduated from the Dagestan State University in 1989 with a diploma in Accounting and Business Analysis, and started working at the Eltav plant of the Ministry of Electronics, worked there until 1995, rising from a rank-and-file economist to assistant general director on economic issues. According to media reports, Karimov earned the initial capital in the early 1990s.

KHAN German Borisovich (b. 1961 in Kyiv) graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISiS) in 1988. After graduation, Khan began working in cooperatives Poisk and Kosmos. Then, together with partner Alexander Furman, he created his cooperative Alexandrina, which was engaged in apparel sewing.

KOLBIN Peter Viktorovich (b. 1952) is Putin’s childhood friend who turned out one of his “wallets”. Peter Kolbin got a job as a butcher in a Leningrad deli. He worked at this place for a quarter of a century, and when his childhood friend became president, Kolbin’s life changed dramatically.

KOVALCHUK Mikhail Valentinovich (b. 1946 in Leningrad) graduated from the Physics Department of Leningrad State University in 1970 and joined the Institute of Crystallography as a research intern. In 1978, he defended his kandidat thesis, and in 1988, his Ph.D. dissertation.
