AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov said the company intends to resume production at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg in the second half of 2023, a correspondent reports. DOPs.

At the moment, the company is negotiating with new partners who will supply car kits to the enterprise. Negotiations can be completed in January-February.

Recall that all Nissan assets in Russia, in particular the plant in St. Petersburg and the sales and marketing center in Moscow, became the property of the NAMI Institute, subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Japanese company made a deal for 1 euro, which will give it the opportunity to return to the Russian market in the next six years.

Prior to this, it was reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade may exclude Nissan cars and spare parts from parallel imports. The condition will be confidence in the maintenance of machines at the appropriate level.
