Alexander Vorobyov could be planning an escape from Russia.
Arrested for treason, the assistant to the plenipotentiary in the Ural Federal District Nikolai Tsukanov, Alexander Vorobyov, could plan an escape from Russia on the eve of his arrest. This is evidenced by the fact that Vorobyov tried to sell an apartment in Europe, writes the Mash Telegram channel.
Advertisements for the sale of an apartment in the Polish city of Gusev appeared on June 18. Vorobyov planned to sell a modestly furnished living space of 50 square meters for 2 million rubles. According to neighbors, the owners used to rent out the apartment.
Meanwhile, the Ural Embassy commented on Vorobyov’s arrest, calling the ex-official a “traitor.”
“The apparatus of the plenipotentiary and the plenipotentiary are working according to the schedule, nothing has changed with us. Of course, it is very sad that this happened. Unfortunately, people are sometimes just traitors. I’m talking about Vorobyov, ”Deputy Plenipotentiary Boris Kirillov told Ura.ru.
Recall that Vorobyov was detained by the FSB. A Polish passport and recording equipment were found on him. Under the article for high treason, he faces 12 to 20 years in prison.
