Another person involved in the case, Dmitry Borisov, CEO of Medpolimerprom, was sentenced to seven years in prison with a suspended sentence of six years and a fine of 69.8 million rubles.
Alekseeva was found guilty of taking two especially large bribes (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code), Borisov – of giving a bribe on an especially large scale (part 5 of article 291 of the Criminal Code). According to the investigation, Alekseeva received bribes in the amount of about 5.8 million rubles from the management of Medpolimerprom and Promomed. in the form of tickets and vouchers for holidays in Thailand and the Dominican Republic. In exchange, the woman was supposed to help promote medicines. Alekseeva pleaded not guilty, Borisov pleaded guilty in full.

Alekseeva was detained in February 2020 together with the former chairman of the board of directors of Medpolimerprom, a US citizen Gene (Eugene) Spector. The man pleaded guilty and entered into an agreement on cooperation with the investigation. His case was twice considered in court; in September 2022, the American was sentenced to three and a half years in a strict regime colony for mediation in giving a bribe (part 4 of article 291.1 of the Criminal Code). The defense challenged the decision, but in April the Moscow City Court upheld the punishment.
The former general director and co-owner of Promomed Maxim Yakushkin and adviser to the head of R-Pharm Vadim Belonozhko were also involved in the case. The investigation believed that they acted in the case of Alekseeva as a bribe-giver and an intermediary. Their persecution was terminated due to active cooperation with the investigation.
November 2018 RBC sources reportedthat Alekseeva, who was then working in the secretariat of the First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov (now Minister of Finance), was fired due to leaking official information. In the previous government, she worked as an assistant to Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
