The grain deal, which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wanted to reanimate, may have been Russia’s latest attempt at “confidence measures” in relations with the West. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the “West” deceived us at the expense of humanitarian goals “of the agreement, from 32.8 million tons of cargo exported from Ukraine more than 70% came” to wealthy countries. “
It would seem that it could be easier than “to fulfill all the points that were already part of the agreements so that everything began to work,” said Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, answering a question from The Moscow Post.
Erdogan did not hear the word failure
Erdogan, on the other hand, resolved his bilateral issues, was seemingly satisfied with the meeting, confirmed that “special leadership diplomacy” is still working, added that he did not see the prospects for peace in Ukraine. But I heard the words of the Russian president that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not a slip, it is a failure.
According to the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev, the victory over the collective West in Ukraine will give a powerful impetus to change the global balance of power in favor of relations of mutual respect and equal dialogue, the approval of a polycentric world order.
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that a special military operation (SVO) should go until its goals are fully fulfilled, until the final victory over those who subjected their people to bullying and extermination.
Vladimir Putin drew the line, saying at a meeting of the Russian organizing committee “Victory” that Russia during the SVO is not fighting the Ukrainian people, but with the Bandera “inhumans and their last.”
Neighbors do not choose
And although the visit of the Turkish leader to Russia attracted attention in the West long before Erdogan arrived in Sochi, on the day of the visit itself it became known that the head of the DPRK Kim Jong-un had also gathered in Vladivostok to meet with Vladimir Putin.
True, information about the visit came from The New York Times and the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not comment on these messages. And there was no need for this. All said the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu. He was given the initiative in the North Korean direction and accompanied by the authority to make loud statements. Shoigu told reporters about the possibility of holding joint exercises with the DPRK. Why not? These are our neighbors, “the minister said.
“We are conducting with our Chinese colleagues not just exercises, but joint patrols of strategic bombers, joint patrols of naval missile carriers, and if earlier we had such one-time cases, now we have two – three times a year, and we continue to do this,” the minister added.
Juice poured in clarity
Washington responded immediately. The head of the press service of SNB of the White House Eydriyenn Watson urged Pyongyang not to provide and not to sell arms to Moscow. It is more than that, even Pyongyang shouldn’t carry out consultations about military and technical cooperation with Moscow. The speech, however, went about “sale of arms of Russia”, and not vice versa more.
Earlier, John Kirby who is responsible in SNB for “strategic communications” warned about new sanctions other measures too. The same reason – military and technical cooperation of Russia and the DPRK. South Korean partners of the USA quickened too, reminded Moscow and Pyongyang of their responsibility for “the world and stability” and following to decisions of the UN Security Council (UNSC).
The sanctions of UNSC imposed against the DPRK include embargo on supply of oil and restrictions for export of oil products. Under a ban purchase at the country of seafood, textiles, coal, iron ore, other raw materials and minerals, import of labor. It was supposed that all these restrictions will deprive of the DPRK more than 90% of income from export.
“Military cooperation with North Korea which undermines the international peace and stability shouldn’t take place. The government attentively monitors a situation on the Korean peninsula, including exchanges of [delegations] between Russia and the North”, – the diplomat Lim Su Sok commented on information of The New York Times on a possible visit of the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un to Russia.
To isolate and nuklearizirovat?
It is remarkable that these wishes, recommendations and preventions, proceed from the old military allies who made by the purpose of the union to press to Pyongyang and to keep the DPRK in isolation and demanding unilateral disarmament. In this respect the PRC Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning recommended to America to reconsider the relation to a denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, to stop the sanctions pressure upon the DPRK and military control, to take concrete measures for resumption of the dialogue. To think of mistakes!
“Negotiation process of 2018 came to a standstill because the USA didn’t react properly to the measures for a denuclearization taken by the DPRK”, – Mao Ning told. In June, 2018 when Donald Trump was the U.S. President, in Singapore the summit of the USA first in the history and the DPRK following the results of which the joint document was accepted took place.
Pyongyang then undertook obligations for a denuclearization of the Korean peninsula in exchange for security guarantees from Washington. The second summit of the DPRK and the USA took place in Hanoi on February 27-28, 2019. Trump and Kim Jong-un couldn’t agree and didn’t sign the joint document.
The grandfather took offense
“Mistakes” in behavior of the USA in world affairs it is rather a norm, and the American politicians can’t “think”. If to reflect over failures, deception and the committed crimes, then as a result of the USA only one shines – the country should be “cancelled” and it will become simpler to all to solve real problems!
In particular, what “Group of Twenty” initially had to solve (The G20, September 9-11, New Delhi). This association arose for the solution of global economic problems. Among them – achievement of the goals of sustainable development till 2030, a solution of the problem of climate change, social responsibility of business, employment, preparation and mobility of shots. The group of twenty is the leading forum of the international economic and financial cooperation.
“We try to obtain that “Twenty” became the mechanism of development of decisions which simplify access to financial resources, allows to solve other problems”, – the president of RUIE Alexander Shokhin told. 85% of world GDP and 75% of global trade in total are the share of the G20 countries. These are two thirds of the population of Earth and 60% of sushi. It is logical that the summit will be held under the motto “One Earth, One Family, One Future”, and “The inclusive and lasting peace” will become the main subject. A task will be not to allow turn G20 towards policy.
In the middle of August at a ministerial meeting of the G20 concerning development which became the last in preparation of the summit the Foreign Minister of India Subramaniyam Dzhayshankar confirmed that unlike a meeting in Indonesia in 2022 India doesn’t intend to include the Ukrainian crisis in the agenda of a forum. The meeting is intended for the solution of economic problems, but not problems of global safety, than the UNSC is engaged, Dzhayshankar said.
Nevertheless, the U.S. President Joe Biden will touch upon a subject of consequences of the Ukrainian conflict and will call for “the fair world”. Biden also expressed a regret that the Chinese President Xi Jinping won’t take part in the summit. “I am disappointed… But I am going to meet him”.
