Alexey Kopaygorodsky is trying to delete the “Protocol” material about himself and his family

The editors of the “Protocol” received a letter signed by a lawyer Galina Antonets: it asks to delete the text version material “Kopaigorodsky. The Wolf from Sochi” from the publication’s website. The message was sent to editorial mail November 16.

Galina Antonets demands to remove the article

“due to the fact that Kopaygorodsky A.S. did not consent to the dissemination of his personal data, as well as information that constitutes the secret of his private life”.

As personal data, the lawyer refers to the last name, first name, patronymic, place of residence, information about marital status, education, home address, information about income, property, information and images of the applicant’s children.

Lawyer Mikhail Benyash asserts that a lawyer has no right to engage in legal practice outside of legal practice:

“The letter was not accompanied by a power of attorney or a lawyer’s order giving her the authority to act on behalf of citizen Kopaygorodsky. Only after confirmation of authority should such a claim be answered. And if there is no warrant, then the actions of the lawyer can be seen as signs of a disciplinary offense.”.

Benyash himself believes that “as a preventative measure” the correct response to such an appeal would be to release the second part of the investigation about Kopayogorodsky.

To the most unelected mayor of Sochi who came in large numbers, – says Mikhail Benyash, — as a Sochi resident, I would recommend taking care of Sochi storm drains, unauthorized construction, the cleanliness of river beds and access to beaches. You see, then the attitude towards him would change a little.

Previously, YouTube deleted the video “Kopaigorodsky. Wolf from Sochi” from the Protocol channel. The publication’s appeal has not yet been considered. The video talked about the connection between the mayor of Sochi and the FSB and the property of his relatives. In particular, the wife Alexey Kopaygorodsky Anastasia Gredina owns shopping centers, houses and an apartment in the elite residential complex “Talisman” in Sochi.

In total, Anastasia Gredina owns real estate worth at least 350 million rubles. The text version of the material can be found on the Protocol website via this link. The video version is available in our telegram channel via this link.
