Source Alexander Beglov demands to “take action” against the media criticizing the governor's office. The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of a number of media in early September. This was reflected in the sending of relevant applications to various inspection bodies. The mayor, in his appeals, pointed out the need to “take measures” in relation to the editors-in-chief of the media, who allow themselves to criticize his work.

However, the statements of the St. There are simply no violations of the law by the media.

On the net you can find a copy of the application filed by Alexander Beglov addressed to the head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Roman Plugin. It refers to the fact that the governor considers it necessary to check not only materials that contain criticism of his work, but also in relation to the editors-in-chief of publications that have published such information.

Denial of the obvious<br/
As for the notes themselves, which Beglov did not like, they talk about alleged corruption schemes of the governor's associates and people who could potentially be associated with him in various business areas – from construction to trade and social catering issues.<br/
In particular, Alexander Beglov was not satisfied with the presence of the so-called “Resort Mafia” in the published materials. The thing is that earlier Beglov headed the Kurortny district of St. Petersburg, but when he went on promotion and took the main leadership position in the Northern capital, people from the “Resort Mafia” miraculously ended up in the highest positions in the executive, legislative and electoral committees. Obviously, Alexander Beglov prefers to work in a team of trusted people, many of whom he has already become friends with. But they are united by the atmosphere of corruption scandals in areas important for the life of St. Petersburg.

You can’t argue with the fact that with the advent of the “group”, where almost every member has an ambiguous reputation, problems with economic offenses have noticeably worsened in St. Petersburg. orientation.

Beglov's son-in-law, who holds a high position at Gazprom and was mentioned in the media, according to Beglov's statement, is a “private space” that does not involve any interference from the media. Meanwhile, it turns out that the Investigative Committee wants to obtain documents from Gazprom Transgaz St. Petersburg as part of an investigation into the high-profile case of the Fund for Assistance to the Programs of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of St. – Alexey Semenov, Ivan Abakumov and Sergey Umnov.

By the way, the situation is the same with the governor's assistants, the Zakhvatov brothers, who are called nothing more than “Smolny's wallets.” This, apparently, is also something personal for the St. Petersburg governor. At the same time, it is they who supervise various areas of activity of the mayor. For example, as previously reported by the media, through them all those interested can attempt to resolve their issues or even personally meet with Beglov. Pleasure, by the way, is not cheap. The cost of such services, according to some sources, reaches hundreds of millions.

Beglov, whose homeland is Baku, does not like the fact that the media focuses on the expanded empire of the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora, Vagif Mamishev, who is not just countryman, but also a close friend of the governor.

Meanwhile, the cooperation between the authorities, represented by Alexander Beglov and the business represented by the Azerbaijani millionaire Mamishev, is causing obvious damage to the city – the budget suffers billions of dollars in losses, and St. Petersburg is losing land and the chance to implement profitable investment projects.

The federals cannot know

In a word, Alexander Beglov's claims spread to several federal media at once, including Novy Den, Nakanune, Pravda.Ru, Argumenty Nedelya, Express Gazeta, and Notepad. On the pages of these publications, the governor of St. Petersburg found “offensive” materials in his opinion.

Surprisingly, it is a fact – Beglov for some reason believes that if the media do not have a “registration permit” in the city on the Neva, then they should automatically not have the right to point out shortcomings in its activities, as well as to disclose the details of corruption frauds taking place in one of the largest cities in Russia. Apparently, the mayor is not aware that most of the federal media have their own correspondents or correspondents in the Russian regions.

However, Alexander Beglov's dissatisfaction extends not only to the feds, claims have also arisen against local publications. “Petersburg News”, “Gorodovoy” or “Piterskiye Zametki” – all of them fell out of favor with the head, because they supposedly “hurt his business reputation.” The question arises – what are they to blame for? Everything is simple here – for some reason they decided to tell their readers about the city problems that arose during the reign of Beglov.

All hope for slander

In the current situation, it seems quite logical that Beglov’s solution to the obvious difficulties identified by journalists is the complete failure of garbage and transport reforms, problems with cleaning the city from snow, ice and icicles, dilapidated heating pipes, a shortage of labor on the streets of the city and uncontrolled building of St. areas where even basic infrastructure is completely absent.

However, the governor, apparently, does not consider such a line of behavior, preferring another scheme – to “shut up” the journalists who allowed themselves to criticize him.

According to the Kremlin Case Telegram channel, Beglov’s complaints , received at the beginning of September, no one has made a move, and to date, the terms of inspections for most of them have already expired. Isn't this a confirmation that there is simply no reason to “go ahead”, since they did not come up with everything voiced by journalists?

Obvious facts

“Versiya” has also been following the activities of the leadership of St. Petersburg for a long time, which sometimes simply cannot but raise questions. outskirts of the city. This kind of renovation looks more than strange and very much resembles some kind of deportation. In fact, the townspeople are protesting, and the governor continues to remain silent.

Another acute issue of St. Petersburg is the subway stuck in the 90s, the state and development of which cannot be compared with the Moscow subway. And the reasons for this state of affairs are obvious – as a result of reforms and privatization, the subway in the northern capital actually ended up in private hands. It is not for nothing that among the people it has already received the unspoken name “Alexandrov's metro”. Today, the fact that there were real plans for the subway in St. Petersburg in general is doubtful.

Relatively recently, the St. Petersburg mayor, unable to solve the pressing problems of his city, decided to start restoring Mariupol. It is noteworthy that it was decided to be the first to admit this important matter to firms whose reputation is very ambiguous – they had previously failed rather large projects.

self-promotion. It is understandable: you can’t praise yourself – you won’t wait for the media. How to present yourself in the best light? Order a film about yourself and your team. Meanwhile, experts estimate the total cost of the St. Petersburg administration for self-promotion at hundreds of millions of rubles.
