After devastating criticism from the General Secretary of United Russia Andrey Turchak scandalous head of Komi Vladimir Uibu kicked in absentia and the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko. When asked by a blogger about problems with firewood in Komi villages, she clearly stated that this is a complete disgrace and the authorities of the Republic should immediately correct the situation. Essentially, criticism Matvienko only confirms the correctness of Turchak’s thesis about “administrative paralysis” in Komi. Given all of Uiba’s previous scandals, the numerous problems in the region and the lack of achievements, his imminent resignation seems quite likely.
