The court session was held in Moscow. It was attended only by the lawyers of the spouses.
Some couples divorce for years, while others get it done quickly and “painlessly”. According to the latest scenario, Alisher Usmanov and Irina Viner went.
On May 19, they announced that they were separating after 30 years of marriage, and have already managed to settle some important issues in court.
It seemed that there were no prerequisites for discord between the spouses. The gymnasts that Wiener trained always called her marriage to an oligarch “the union of two strong people.”
Yes, and Irina Alexandrovna herself emphasized: the secret of her successful relationship with her husband is to give her partner freedom.
In parallel, they built successful careers: Viner led the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team, and Usmanov was developing his own business.
Intersected in the same city, and in the same country, the spouses rarely lived in different houses. Irina Alexandrovna preferred to spend most of her time in a mansion in Novogorsk, not far from the sports base, and Alisher Usmanov built a cottage for himself on Rublevka.
Journalists often asked Wiener whether such a system suits her, and she answered: but we manage to miss each other and we always have something to talk about.
There were no common heirs of the spouses: together they raised their son Viner from his first marriage, Anton.
For 30 years, the coach and the oligarch managed to acquire an impressive collection of joint property. According to official figures, Viner and Usmanov own a villa in Sardinia, two estates in London, a castle in Tashkent, a 156-meter yacht Dilbar and other real estate.
“If everything is quiet and calm, if we agree on everything, then no comment,”

In 2022, Alisher Usmanov took 7th place in the list of the richest people in Russia. According to Forbes, his fortune is estimated at $11.5 billion. Irina Viner did not advertise her income data.
“And, of course, Wiener has never been an attachment to her husband, she herself is a person with a significant name. Anything happens in life, but this is just the case when people still remain close to each other, ”Ksenia Sobchak commented on the couple’s divorce.

At the meeting, which took place on June 7 at the world site No. 205 in the west of the capital, neither Viner nor Usmanov arrived – all issues were resolved among themselves by their representatives. The trial itself was held behind closed doors.
Usmanov’s lawyer Sergei Popov filed a motion to close the court session, revealing some details in the process. Popov’s words transmits “StarHit”:
“Documents will be examined, including information about the reasons for the dissolution of the marriage, about the places of residence of the spouses, and so on. Our trustee is a well-known entrepreneur, an influential person, his wife is a well-known coach, these circumstances do not need to be proven, they kept their relationship private, after the marriage there was no information about how the marriage was going in the media. The dissemination of information about private life can negatively affect business.”

Despite the fact that earlier this meeting was designated as final, the end of the divorce case has not yet been put. It is likely that several more high-profile ones will follow the peace process (if the spouses do not come to an agreement), but they themselves would like to avoid this.
Irina Viner and Alisher Usmanov met almost half a century ago. They were both born and raised in Uzbekistan and as teenagers trained in the same gym: she was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, and he was in fencing.

But the romance between them began already at a more mature age: by that time, Irina Alexandrovna had already managed to get married, give birth to a son and part with her first husband. Viner and Usmanov got married only in 1992, and before that she had to wait for him from prison for six years.
Usmanov received a term on charges of bribery, fraud and theft of socialist property. In the early 2000s, this case was recognized as fabricated: the oligarch was completely rehabilitated.
