After 24 years in prison, the killer of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group, Alexander Pustovalov, is hiding from his former accomplices.

Alexander Pustovalov (Sasha Soldat)

One of the most famous killers of the 90s – Sasha Soldier — after his release from the colony, he settled in city X, changed his appearance and now plans to even change his full name. All because his former accomplices now want to “remove” him, SHOT reports.

According to the telegram channel, the killer Orekhovsky changed the place of administrative supervision. Initially, the court ordered him to report to the Moscow police department at the address where his mother lives – in an apartment near Fili Park. But Alexander Pustovalov (Soldier’s real name) did not go to Moscow. He left for the secret “city X”, the name of which was hidden from the colony staff, and the guards themselves did not even imagine who they were taking to freedom.

Sources claim that Sasha Soldat went to his wife and child (who was born during the killer’s long imprisonment in a colony after one of his long dates). Outwardly, the killer has changed beyond recognition, and now he is going to change his passport in order to cover up the traces of the past. True, there is a big problem with this: due to the established administrative supervision, it is almost impossible to replace documents.

As the court previously ruled, Pustovalov is prohibited from leaving “city X”, leaving home from 10 pm to 6 am, and is also required to report to the police twice a month. Pustovalov’s mother told SHOT that her son did not tell her about his plans for the future, and asked her not to interfere with his “new life, which no one cares about.” […]

Alexander Lavrentiev

In November 2023, the notorious member of the Orekhovsk-Medvedkovskaya organized crime group Alexander Pustovalov, aka Sasha Soldat, plans to be released from correctional labor colony No. 9 in the Tver region. In places not so remote, this man served a total of 24 years for 22 murders.

Boy from the outskirts

Alexander Pustovalov was born in Moscow in 1973, graduated from eight classes, worked at the Khrunichev machine-building plant, and served in the army in the Marine Corps. Upon returning, he found himself in a whirlpool of gang warfare. However, everything happened gradually. At first, the demobilization officer had the most noble intentions: he wanted to serve in the SOBR. But the feds refused him, explaining that without a higher education there was nothing to do in the detachment. He himself did not want to go patrol the streets at the height of the 90s.

Fate brought him together with the Orekhovskys. The acquaintance took place in a cafe owned by a bandit nicknamed Belok – Dmitry Belkin. A conflict arose in the establishment, then Pustovalov literally scattered the bandits who attacked him. After this incident, they explained to him that they had no complaints against him, but they could give him a job in a security company. And Pustovalov went.

He did not immediately understand what he had gotten himself into, and when he did, it was too late – he turned out to be an unwitting accomplice in a contract killing. I didn’t twitch, I immediately realized what was fraught with danger. I just asked how much they pay for this. I was surprised to learn the amount – it was impressive. And he began to work for the Orekhovskys.

Barrel, knife and noose

Much later, prosecutors would note that Sasha Soldat never looked like an ordinary bandit from the 90s, whose militants had a certain appearance: a mountain of muscles and no imagination. The killer had above average intelligence, knew English, and from his speech it was difficult to guess that he was a criminal. He approached his work with passion, loved unexpected moves, loved taking risks, but at the same time was cool-headed, approached orders creatively, and never repeated himself.

He committed his first murder at the end of the summer of 1995 – he killed the leader Alexander Benjamo from the Assyrian mafia. Everything was quite simple: together with another criminal authority – Gennady Utkin – the police officer arrived at the cafe where the Orekhovskys had hit him, went up to the table where Pustovalov and his partner were sitting. The Orekhovskys did not enter into conversations; they immediately opened fire to kill. Benjamo and Utkin were killed. In 1996, Pustovalov and his partner killed the authority figure Kutepov – they simply waited for him, sitting in the car at the entrance.

At the end of the same year, Pustovalov took the lives of two more well-known criminal leaders Kuntsevo organized crime groupKaligina and Panina. And off we go: shootouts in bars and cafes and corpses, corpses, corpses… Koptevskys, Greeks, ours, Orekhovskys. Sasha the Soldier turned out to be surprisingly cold-blooded – he killed not only with a firearm, but also cut throats, strangled, dismembered corpses, and hid the remains.

Murder of Solonik and connection with the White Arrow

It was rumored that, like many criminals from the 90s, Pustovalov at one time became addicted to drugs. But he quickly stopped after he was ordered to eliminate two Orekhov bandits – Meshchenko and Goryushkin, who had offended the leaders precisely with their addiction to the potion. Pustovalov completed the task, dismembered his friends, put them in bags and lowered them into Lake Krugloye. Their remains were never found.

But the most famous murder committed by Pustovalov and his accomplices was the murder of a hired killer Alexandra Solonika.

According to the official version, Pustovalov was hired because Orekhov’s authority Butorin nicknamed Osya decided that Solonik knew too much and was a danger to him, Butorin. First, a wiretap was installed in a villa in Greece, where Solonik was vacationing with model Svetlana Kotova. Convinced that Solonik was really going to kill him, Butorin sent executors to Greece, among whom was Pustovalov. It was he who strangled Solonik and Kotova, who became an involuntary witness to the murder. Moreover, if the bandits buried Solonik in the forest entirely, then Pustovalov dismembered the girl’s body in the bathroom and put it in a suitcase, which was also buried.

It was because of this crime that Pustovalov and other criminals from the Orekhovskaya organized crime group began to be associated with the secret organization of Russian security forces “White Arrow”, which organized the liquidation of bandits throughout the country. It later turns out that one of the people who accompanied the criminals on their trip to Greece was, without a doubt, connected with government security forces. The bandits also had several foreign passports – they entered using one document and exited using another. In addition, the Orekhovskys had a similar style – just like the security forces, they worked in “threes” and “twos”.

It is known that Pustovalov himself had high patrons. For example, he admitted that he had more than one military ID. When it seemed to him that the employees of the Moscow prosecutor’s office were getting too close to him, he simply pulled out his spare military service and left to serve under a contract, falling out of the sight of the law enforcement agencies.

Natural result

No matter how the rope twists, the end is always the same. In 1999, Pustovalov was arrested. During interrogations, he was calm and cooperated with the investigation. His case was developed for five years, and in 2004 he was “closed” for 22 years. Later, two more court hearings took place. If, according to our legislation, the terms were summed up, then Pustovalov would not have had a chance to be released. But the Russian court is still humane. As a result, the total term of imprisonment was 24 years. Pustovalov sat rather restlessly: 80 penalties were imposed on him, eight times the prisoner was placed in a punishment cell, 12 in a punishment cell, twice in isolation. Pustovalov tried to achieve a transfer to a penal colony in 2021, but the court left him in a general regime colony.

Despite the fact that Sasha the Soldier is already 50 years old, the security forces fear that, when released, he will not sit still, but will definitely start something – he is too active and creative. To prevent this from happening, Pustovalov will be under administrative supervision for three years: he will be prohibited from leaving his house at night, leaving Moscow, and will be required to report to the police twice a month. MK.Ru, 11/20/2023, “Killer Sasha Soldier admitted what he regrets most”: […] we talked with reserve police lieutenant colonel Mikhail Ignatov, who in 1999, as part of the Moscow RUBOP, participated in the operational development of Sasha the Soldier. […]

“The question immediately arises: two dozen proven murders, why didn’t he receive a life sentence?”

– Everything is very simple. From the first day, he actively cooperated with the investigation, gave important testimony, and provided prompt assistance. For sincere repentance, he was imprisoned for 24 years. Almost a year to complete a murder.

— So the “repent and cut your sentence” scheme works?

“In the case of a member of an organized criminal group who may be useful to the investigation, it certainly works. […]

— Was he the leader of the Orekhovskys or an ordinary killer?

“He was an active member of the group. He was entrusted with quite specific tasks. He was an excellent shot, had a heightened sense of self-preservation, and knew how to analyze what was happening. At the same time, he was capable of a completely daring crime such as a triple murder in the city center.

– Why did he shoot so well?

— Served in the army in a special unit of combat swimmers. The Marines have very seriously developed fire training. When Sasha Soldat joined the ranks of the Orekhov group, he had opportunities to improve his shooting skills; the Orekhov gang had a lot of weapons. — Insert K.ru
