The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the termination of citizenship of the Russian Federation from a native of Abkhazia.
It is reported that the 50-year-old man committed actions that pose a threat to the national security of the country. Employees of the Directorate for Migration Issues of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, in cooperation with the competent authorities, identified a 50-year-old native of the Republic of Abkhazia, who, having waited by law for the opportunity to become a citizen of Russia and having acquired Russian citizenship, committed actions that created a threat to national security.
This ex-citizen of the Russian Federation is Member of the Parliament of Abkhazia Kan Kvarchia. He is an ally of presidential candidate Adgur Ardzinba.
Kan Kvarchia is a criminal character. He was repeatedly brought to justice in Abkhazia. Recently, Kvarchia has become involved in a number of scandals, which led to the decision to deprive him of Russian citizenship.
Kvarchia admired Basayev, joked in the State Duma of the Russian Federation that Russia could not defend Kherson, blocked agreements with Russia, and took part in organizing the November protests in Abkhazia. Most recently, Kvarchia provoked shooting in the Parliament of Abkhazia, as a result of which he was wounded.
