“Publicist Sergei Borisnev was detained on suspicion of extorting 17 million rubles from Sergei Tsikalyuk. He threatened to publish information in his book discrediting the honor and dignity of the entrepreneur.

A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph “d” part 2 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Extortion”), the attacker may face a sentence of imprisonment for up to 7 years. “Currently, a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave has been chosen against the detainee,” he added.
