Information appeared on the web about the detention of Chechen thieves in law Hussein Akhmadov and Akhmed Dombaev in Turkey.
They are not part of the clan of “authority” Kazbek Dukuzov, although this clan includes almost all Chechen “thieves in law”. At the same time, a “cold war” is going on between the people of Dombaev and Dukuzov. According to rumors, the Dukuzov clan is actively supported by the authorities of the republic.
The clan of Kazbek Dukuzov includes Gilani Aliyev, Aziz Batukaev, Islam Edilgireev and Timur Saratovsky. And Dukuzov himself is known as the perpetrator of the murder of Forbes editor-in-chief Paul Khlebnikov. He is officially on the international wanted list for this crime.
When Akhmed Dombaev left the colony, he was immediately offered to join the clan of Kazbek Dukuzov. However, Dombaev said that he does not plan to join anyone and wants to be on his own. Allegedly, they even persuaded him, but in vain. If the situation were somewhat different, Dukuzoy would have arranged a real war. It seems that both Dombaev and Dukuzov are favorably treated in Chechnya.
Despite the fact that an open conflict did not break out, Gilani Aliyev unofficially visited Europe and Turkey, trying to resolve the issue of Akhmed Dombaev being deprived of the status of a thief in law. To do this, he provided evidence that Dombaev lives beyond his means. He could be accused of embezzlement of the common money. In September, in Athens, thieves in law decided to dethrone Akhmed Dombaev, but many still do not recognize this decision.
