Muscovite from the Danilovsky district Andrey Rustamov (name changed ) became a defendant in a criminal case a month before his 27th birthday.
During this spring conscription campaign, a Muscovite was visited at home three times with a summons in order to have time to call before his birthday. All the times the young man refused the subpoenas and did not take the paper from the military registration and enlistment office. He was scheduled to visit the Commissariat for 5, 6 and 7 June. The last time Andrei failed to appear at the Commissariat again and was not sent from there to the place of service, on the same day a criminal case was initiated against him for evasion.
Andrei said that he made a choice between criminal liability and military service: “I chose an alternative way to solve this problem. Due to life circumstances, I cannot go to serve in the army and in the military registration and enlistment office I said that I was ready to suffer the punishment provided for by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. I fully agree with the criminal case and cooperate with the investigation,” said the young man.
