In the city of Engels, Saratov Region, a five-year-old child was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds on his body, including in the chest, abdomen and neck.
This was reported in the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
Employees of the department opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30 – paragraph “c”, part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Attempted murder of a minor, known to the guilty, who is in a helpless state).
The police detained and brought to the investigation department the 29-year-old mother of the victim, now being interrogated. According to the children’s ombudsman in the Sverdlovsk region Tatyana Zagorodnya, the boy’s family was registered as socially disadvantaged, but in January 2021 it was deregistered by the police and the commission on juvenile affairs. It is noted that at present the mother does not work, and the child did not attend kindergarten, mainly being raised by the mother’s sister.
