A criminal case was opened following the fire of a Russian oil tank.

A criminal case has been opened in Komi over the fire. reservoir temporary storage of petroleum products at a booster pumping station in the village of Verkhnekolvinsk.

Lenta.ru was informed about this by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism).

The investigation is being conducted under Article 216 (“Violation of safety rules when conducting construction or other works”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism). The causes of the fire and those involved are being established. Information about the victims is being clarified.

Earlier on October 29, it became known about the explosion of an oil tank, which resulted in a fire. It is known that at the time of the incident the tank was empty and cleaning work was being carried out in it. The preliminary cause of the incident was said to be detonation of residual gases.

One casualty was reported.
