The youngest parliamentary party is trying to compensate for the modest results of its work with marketing moves, but it does not work out very well.
As the UtroNews correspondent notes, over the past 24 hours, representatives of the New People party, led by businessman Alexei Nechaev, managed to get into the tops of the news twice. First, presumably by a “stuffing” that one of the leaders of the movement, the former mayor of Yakutsk, Sardana Avksentyeva, is negotiating a transfer to the Just Russia – For Truth party, and then with a refutation of this information.
Against this background, the impression was created that the activists of the party, clearly dissatisfied with the level of citation of their statements, gave their PR specialists the task of generating new informational reasons to correct the situation. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain the obvious inconsistency in the actions of representatives of this political movement.
When brought perfectionism
The message that Sardana Avksentieva is changing her “political orientation” and is negotiating a move to the Just Russia-Patriots – For Truth party appeared last night almost simultaneously in several telegram channels. And early in the morning, Sardana Avksentieva herself published a refutation.
But the very lengthy text in the telegram channel of Ms. Avksentieva, which does not contain a single spelling mistake, with a clear compositional construction, lyrical digressions and an excursion into history, made it possible to suspect that it was not at all the reaction of a person who was surprised at waking up by unpleasant news about himself, but a pre-written and agreed preparation .
Obviously, the PR people of the New People party in this case were let down by perfectionism. Although the majority of the electorate, not experienced in such nuances, probably took what happened at face value and began to send “rays of support” to Sardana Avksentyeva. After all, Sardana Avksentieva is certainly a bright political figure who became famous as the mayor of Yakutsk for her very controversial actions.
What is her decision to sell official cars of officials and transfer them to a taxi or, even more so, to public transport! .. However, even then, many saw in her actions not so much a desire to turn the tide as a penchant for populism.
The appearance of Sardana Avksentieva in the camp of the New People came as a surprise to many
“What has changed under Sardane for ordinary citizens? Nothing. At the “city hall” there was a whole herd of “5 wheels in carts” – various medical institutions that collect various data … 1 time in 1.5-2 years, they don’t pass them on to anyone – “doing nothing” and … paying for the idleness of their bureaucrats .
Public transport, as before, is represented by 80% of PAZ cars, assembled on the outskirts of the city from rubbish, which do not run according to a schedule, but “at the will of“ drove. As a result, there is a stampede, swearing, stench of exhaust gases in the salons and, as a result, a “strangely” high incidence of COVID-19 … What else? A terrifying outflow of the population from the city in 2018-2020, ”commented the townspeople on the unexpected news of the resignation of Avksentieva from the post of mayor of Yakutsk, published in Kommersant.
Avksentyeva herself explained her resignation with health problems, but very soon after that she showed up in the New People party and expressed her readiness to work in the future to be elected to the State Duma. Health problems seem to have disappeared.
“Political marketing” as it is
During the difficult election campaign, Avksentieva quite quickly caught the tactics of the New People, who learned the most effective methods of influencing the audience from network companies, from where they, in fact, grew. Recall that the founder of the New People party, Alexei Nechaev, was the owner of the Faberlic network structure for the sale of cosmetics and other consumer goods.
Hence the way New People communicate with the electorate – large auditoriums, large monitors on which they play other people’s success stories, ask pre-written questions on pieces of paper – that is, communication with the electorate according to the canons of neuro-linguistic programming. In this, the party members, of course, succeeded. Therefore, there was nothing surprising in the way the electorate heeded their appeals – in fact, just a few years ago, people who were left without a salary joined the ranks of adherents of network trading and, with the last funds, getting into debt, purchased expensive sets of cosmetics.
The communication of the New People with the electorate subtly resembled the recruitment of network companies
When Avksentieva joined the New People, it came as a surprise to many. It would seem that this outwardly independent female politician, who spoke out against the mossiness of power, could have anything in common with a company of businessmen who can see profit in everything, first of all? Apparently, there are common ground.
In the assets of the “New People” the majority – if not the youngest, then novice politicians with ambitions and a desire to move forward. Therefore, participation in the party for them may in the future turn into certain political dividends – promotion to governorships or appointment to prominent positions in state corporations and other tempting structures.
About Alexei Nechaev, “New People” speak of nothing more than a new messiah
Considering that Nechaev is already a billionaire, these prospects are becoming quite achievable for him. And political experience is something that will come with time.
It is also impossible to exclude the fact that Alexei Nechaev hopes to solve business problems with the help of politics. Many noticed that after the elections he went into the shadows and made few comments on topical issues. Still, Nechaev looks very little like a politician.
Rumors are rumors, but if you look at Nechaev’s business, you can find very interesting things. If you look at the head JSC Faberlik, everything is fine there. At the end of 2020, the company made a profit of 2.8 billion rubles with a huge revenue of 23 billion rubles.
If we turn to subsidiaries, then questions already arise. Let’s take, for example, LLC “Faberlik fashionfactory”. With a revenue of 282 million rubles (plus 12 million compared to the level of 2019), over the same period the structure went negative by 1.4 million rubles. Paradoxically, at the same time, the value of the net assets of the structure also increased – from 5.1 million to 22 million rubles.
Based on this, it can be assumed that money from the structure could be tritely withdrawn. However, after Nechaev headed the New People party and led it to the State Duma, neither he nor his partners have had any questions about this from the relevant authorities.
Let’s live in a new way. Then we figure out how
The sanctions, under the rink of which the members of the New People faction nevertheless fell along with the rest of the deputies, although they spoke from the rostrum of the State Duma against the deputies promoting the idea of the need to recognize the LPR and DPR.
Recall that when this issue was discussed in parliament, representatives of the New People faction became famous for rhetorical questions like “are the speakers sure that the citizens of Russia in the event of the introduction of new international sanctions are ready to“ give up the thirteenth salary and part of their refrigerator for the sake of the unobvious prospects for recognition of the LPR and DNR. This is how Anton Tkachev formulated his idea.
And the same Sardana Avksentyeva, in her speech on behalf of the faction, recalled that an international diplomatic process is underway and it is not the business of the State Duma to interfere in it. “Our primary task with you, deputies of the State Duma, is the fight against poverty, correcting mistakes and shortcomings in the legislation that prevent our country from developing, fulfilling what we talked about and promised to our voters during the election campaign,” – she said, emphasizing that she trusts Russian diplomats. These speeches were recorded on February 15 in the video reports of the Duma television.
It was shortly after these events that rumors appeared that Sardana Avksentieva might leave the New People for another party.
As the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire. It is quite possible that the current incident with Sardana Avksentyeva’s “non-transition” to another party is an attempt to neutralize rumors that, despite strict party discipline, still leak outside the camp of the New People.
As noted earlier in the publication of The Moscow Post, the version that the New People party is being trained to occupy the liberal-centrist “flank” in the political system of Russia is not without meaning. In this sense, it becomes clear how the Kremlin can regard a clear crisis in the ranks of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Communist Party. According to the results of 2021, the latter can even be considered a frontier. Stakes on them and the aging Zyuganov, as one of the pillars of the party system of the Russian Federation, are hardly relevant anymore.
By the way, it is not surprising that in terms of PR and public activity, the same Sardana Avksentieva, one of the strongest political figures of the New People, was relegated to the background. And this circumstance, too, could well serve as an additional motive for her to say goodbye to the New People sooner or later.
It seems that high hopes are pinned on Vladislav Davankov in the New People party
Another key figure of the “New People” – 38-year-old businessman Vladislav Davankov, according to analysts, “could have been tritely” remotivated “by the chair of the vice-speaker.” Although, formally, the decision that it was he who would take this position from new people should have been made in the structure itself.
Obviously, the “New People” are looking for ways to make themselves known as loudly as possible in order to burst into a supernova bright star against the background of the rest of the factions of the State Duma. So far, it’s not working out very well. Maybe they choose bad information occasions? ..
